Atrrition - no of attritions/average of opening + closing head count As per your numbers opening HC is 30 and 2 new hired that means closing HC will be 32 in that 4 are left first ee will take the average of opening HC and closing HC that is equal to (30+32)/2 so the average is 31 Now attrition rate - no of attritions/ average of opening+ closing HC that equals to 4/31 = 12.9%
