Fun fact: Those terrifying 'screams' that you hear in fugo's theme and atum sometimes are based off the ancient 'Atum' whistle from the aztec meso-american times, which made the same noise, just way creepier. It was used in sacrifices and in battle to represent a human screaming in agony and pain, if used in sacrifices it is made to feel the sacrifice feel more distress, and their skulls would be carved into more Atum whistles. Another fun fact: I was looking for this noise to see if I could get a replay of it since i'm interested in it, and this is what popped up first lmao (and yes i have watched jojo)

I quite like Atum's design. And it was interesting to see it actually hold back Star Platinum. It's strength is so great, yet the ability was a bit disappointing. Being basically the same as his brothers, except for the thing they "bet" on. And the mind reading part. It could have had so much potential with a different ability. But at least the puppet collection is scarier than the poker chips one. At least visually.

I actually found really interesting the conection between the D'arbys habilitys and their generation gap The older brother is into old fashioned gamble, cassino style. While the younger enjoys console games, and plays with dolls. My only problem is that Terence episodes was just a relief moment for the storming weather (if you compare this to the Vanilla Ice fight, feels really ridiculous) Give Atum a proper time and he can be terrifying.

Headcanon: This story takes place weeks before the Cairo arc. A younger Yoshikage Kira was enjoying his vacations and traveled around the world, somehow found D'arby because stand users are destined to meet, for some reason Kira felt and knew this guy was "different" than normal people and wanted to kill him to make sure he isn't a threat to his peaceful life, D'arby countered him like he did to Jotaro in their first encounter and dared him to play videogames, Kira was shocked at first by seeing he wasn't the biggest fish in the ocean and there are other people with "that power", Kira regained his composure and accepted, the Morioh killer who is always cocky believed he could defeat D'arby in his own game so he gambled his soul and confidently said that if he wins he would kill him with no hesitation, ending with him embarrassingly losing his soul to D'arby, some weeks later a young Jotaro defeated the gamer and indirectly saved Kira, causing more murders at Morioh.
