Was looking for a DIY sprayer and ran across yours, it’s exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the idea!! Just put mine together last night and will be using this weekend for weed control on my gravel road going into my hunting land and spray some trails. I have about $30 into mine including the nozzle, much better than $100 or more for a boom and I don’t have to worry about catching the boom on anything! Buy your nozzle off amazon and they are $17 including shipping

which boominator model ? 1200PS? Also - What is the brass fitting between the boominator & the pvc adaptor? GREAT job - best ATV sprayer video I've seen. Thanks for taking time to create & share. Any chance you can add a parts list? Thanks again, Hamp

I like this video. Why the expensive boominator nozzle? Would not a sprinkler nozzle 180 degree work ? Some of them spray 12-15 feet
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors5 жыл бұрын
I’m sure that would work. The boominator nozzle was only like 29 bucks. It’s more of a fine mist so that’s what I was was looking for. The whole goal was to be efficient.

You've basically made a boomless sprayer-- here is 2 things you may want to think about:1) remove the end cap and replace with another ball valve so you can drain the horizontal and vertical run. and 2) instead of running the boominator "T" connection up, run it down-- you will get better coverage because of less wind drift. Keep the height above the hitch height on your 4x4.

I did end up putting a ball valve there. I also like shooting them out the back.

Nice setup! I just bought a boominator and looking forward to trying it. I'm constantly clearing trails in heavy timber and trying to eradicate multiflora rose as well. I may try adding a tee in the line before the ball valve so I'll have the option to spot spray along the way. Great video! Thanks!

Whitetail obsession outdoors nice! I guess great minds think alike. After using it for a while, I like being able to control the flow with the ball valve as well. Great setup

So I searched for it on KZbin, and your video was at the top. Thanks Dave! Going to order a nozzle and build one. I'll probably use PEX pipe tho, since I have some laying around.

Are you still using this setup? if I may suggest, adding a barbed fitting instead of capping off the end and attach the spray wand for spraying brows, you could also add a ball valve above the "t" and just use the wand if needed. Also how do you clean your tank to make sure you aren't spraying herbicides mixed with antler grow
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip but there is a ball valve in it so I can valve off the nozzle and use the wand. I still use this set up today works great. I typically don’t use herbicide in this set up if I do I would just use water and make sure to flush all areas.

I am new to your channel and I have to say you do a great job, I have recently acquired some hunting property and have been doing a lot of food plot research and find myself checking your channel first for information and tips, thanks and keep up the good work!

Awesome man thank you. Most all content I do is informational. That way people can search something and find my videos. Welcome to the channel!

Very nice. One small suggestion. Where you put the 90° angle, at the bottom, you should put a drain valve to empty the remaining spray so you don't combine different mixes, which could be disastrous. I.E. wanting to use 2-4-D after Round-Up and the RU is still in there....not good! Just a thought...

I think that the term is called CYA! LOL!

Hi Dave. What diameter pipe are you using in this video? 1/2"? I'm having a hard time finding the threaded piece you use in this video that the Boominator threads onto and then into the pipe. Where did you purchase yours from? Thanks for any info.
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors5 жыл бұрын
I believe this was all half inch cpvc pipe. I bought everything from Home Depot. I don’t even have this sprayer anymore Chris bought it that Helps me out. I’ll see him this weekend and take a look at it.

@@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors I went back through this video and saw on the pipe a 1/2" marking in it. Thanks again for your reply.

why did you put the sprayer nozzle on the top, would it not be safer to put it down near the tires, that way it would not be able to get on you when spraying around an area??? you should have the same amount of area coverage. also they make that tank with a wand sprayer for a reason. you know that???

I found the Boominator nozzles, but they range from $90 to $105! Am I not looking at the right stuff, because that is crazy expensive.

What size pump are you using on the sprayer?
@hamprepper6 жыл бұрын
Butch I'm using a 2.1 gpm fimco sprayer that has manifold but still added cut-off valve for extra protection
@eroom20874 жыл бұрын
What’s the gpm on that pump and what’s the gpm on the nozzle
@Whitetailobsessionoutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Pump is 2.2 and i don’t remember what the nozzle was I actually sold that set up. I want say it was either 1.5 or 2.5
