Another great review. I have had mine for 7 months now and it just keeps getting better. I put some Maxxis Zillas on the stock rims and they have made this thing almost unstoppable. For anyone who is on the fence about buying one of these machines...Do It.

I have an 08 Brute 750. I love this machine. It does amazing in the sand dunes with paddles and in the moutains...Cant wait to upgrade to the 2013.. Thank you for the awsome reviews, it just confirms my opinion.

Thanks for the kind words...Talk about two completely different vehicles! It is highly unlikely that we'll test the Ranger any time soon as Polaris has refused to loan us any test units since we complained about their lack of reliability...

Glad to hear we are appreciated - especially from the land of my favorite cars ;-) I have no problem switching between 2wd and 4wd, but I do run almost all the trails in 4wd! The biggest differences in the two is that the BF is FAST and sounds great. The KQ is smoother and quieter. Both need radials to make them handle as they should.

I've had my 750 for a little over a year and love it! The only thing I would complain about is the little yellow lever. Only because its difficult to hold while leaning off the right side when your acting like an outrigger. High Lifter makes a super easy to install and use pin lock, that keeps the diff lock engaged . You basically tap it to disengage.

Hi.I am an avid off-roader in the Great White North...I enjoy watching your atv reviews. I ride a 2010 Kawasaki 360 4x4.It has 12 500 kms on it,which is 7700 miles!..I replaced the swingarm bearings,a brake cable,clutch actuator,and a speed sensor...I keep Ams oil in the engine and the whole unit is well maintained.These miles are over tough rocky hilly trails;overloaded with camping/hunting gear every trip to the camp. Let me know how your Brute is holding up after 7000 miles. Peace.

Thanks for your reviews !! i can't decide between the KingQuad 750 and the Brute Force 750. Some people struggle with the Kawasaki 4-WD system: is it true that it reacts very slow and you have to do a full stop to switch between 2-WD and 4-WD ? Some say it klicks pretty loud when you do that. Even my old Honda can do that "on the fly" greetings from Germany

That's pretty darned good. HAve few friends with some high mileage machines - a King Quad 700 with just over 9000 miles and he's done nothing but change the oil! Also a Rubicon with over 16,000 miles and all he's replaced is some cables and ball joints. He, like probably you, leaves his machine outside all year long. Riding in the snow and mud and then parking an ATV is a mighty hard thing to do to it ;-)

I have a shed for my bike,and I do all the regular maintenance on it.It runs well and I hope to get another 12000 kms out of it.There is so much snow here,that wheeling is impossible without tracks;so,my bike gets a little rest from Dec. to April. So,overall,which company do you think builds the best overall atvs?

Love the videos. I am working on getting MY first atv and can pick between the brute force 750 or Can am 1000. I am a Big guy 350Lbs and we do alot of trail but MUD riding and i like the fact of the power in the can am. but hate the no real locker. can you maybe point some stuff out for me to help? thanks

Hi Doug, I appreciate your comments on tires. My next question is do you think this machine has smooth reliable power delivery to make it a good trail machine? I really like the bike, racks, front locker set up. But many of the videos I have seen seem to depicted it as a wheelie monster. I am used to a 500 and am a bit concerned about having to much power for trail riding here in Oregon. I wish they made a 550 or 650 of this bike. But since that is not the case, I am gun shy of all that power tossing me off on a steep climb. I value your opinion and would like to know what you think.

Hey Chris. This thing has far more power than a normal trail rider would ever need. The only time I personally would need this kind of power is in the deep winter snow. Of course while it has incredibly immediate power you are in control of the throttle and may choose to not use it all ;-) It's a great machine in every way. Of course if you are nervous about too much power take a look at the Suzuki King Quad 500.

In the video/review you mentioned that you would follow up with a tire recomendation. My riding style is similar to yours. Slow to medium speeds. I am thinking Black diamonds or Sedona Rip Saws. What is your opinion?

The Black Diamonds seemed to work well on our ATVs. The Rip Saws just seem a bit too heavy and stiff for the lighter ATVs. I'd probably choose the Terra Cross for the best all-around tire.

I have a 2013 brute 750i and I have problems with steep down hill if I hit ruts or sticks it gets tippy is there a stock shock problem with the brute

More likely the tires. The stock tires are very rounded and soft and will too easily roll over. Throw them away and put a good set of radials on the stock wheels.

Yes he is absolutely right on what he is saying about the 4 wheel drive system on this. Not many people realize that Kawasaki makes the only absolute full locking 4x4 system. If you get into a spot where you feel like you really need the full locking front, you want your entire 4x4 system fully locked before going into it. If it's not locked when your going into a tricky section of terrain, then it's already too late. You do not want to wait for some limited slip system to kick in. In a hairy place, the LAST thing you want is a tire to slip and upset the ATV, it can do unpredictable things and even cause a back flip or rollover in extreme cases. Also, yes if you get one of these just plan on changing the tires soon if you do any serious riding. There are a lot of good radials that will make a huge improvement.

Thank you for the good review of the Brute Doug. I really like that you have older model reviews on your channel as buying a new condition used atv is all I have ever done. I just sold my 08 KQ750 this spring and I used to own a Prairie 700. I really like this Brute Force 750 allot and I have always preferred japanese machines. I am looking for one as my next ride. Loved the KQ, no complaints or breakdowns. I do however want power steering now at my age, and I missed the v twin low end take off of my Prairie 700. Can you imagine if they take the new Teryx 800 engine and put it in the 2016 BF with some clicker shocks and radial tires standard? That would give some serious competition to some other brands,,,lol...Not that think the BF isn't plenty powerful enough for spirited trail riding as it is...Better shocks standard as well as good radials would be a good idea though from the factory. Also a good winch standard as well as a package deal...thanks again.

Stu650Zuk I don't know if I need any more power but radials, better shocks and a winch would sure make it a ready-to-go machine. And we disconnected the sway bar on the BF and it makes it far more flexible.

i have a question.I am picking up my new brute force this friday. i live in Southeast new mexico. Mesquite bush and cactus desert conditions that we ride in. But we also drive an hour north and go into the tall pine mountains to ride. Mud and Rocky trails. any tire suggestions for me. i would like to do a 1" oversize. Flats will be the main problem. do you reccomend a higher ply tire? Tire sealant inside the tires?

Nowadays almost all of the new tires are much heavier (and thicker) than needed for an ATV simply because they are designed to be used on the much heavier (and typically faster) UTVs. We have the Sedona Mud Rebel RTs on our BF (26's) and they are working great. Also great are the ITP MudLite XTRs and the STI Black Diamond XTRs. 26 with the ITPs, and 27 with the STIs as they run small - especially at the extremely low pressures needed on the light ATVs to make them (All three of the above!) work properly. We run 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 !

Hands down the best diff lock system on the market. I wish I had this sytem on my trucks! You don't have to stop, or throttle down to use it like button or switch gate lockers on other Japanese brands. Grab it quick and easy, and like Doug said, it's progressive. And to answer one of the questions asked, no, you don't have to be stopped to switch a Kawie into 4wd. You can be rolling to switch in or out, just be going less than 10 mph.

I believe that all the Japanese machines are pretty much the same - and far more reliable than any other machine. I believe the negative comments come from abuse in mud and once the engine is damaged, a twin like the Brute Force will be more expensive to repair than a single cylinder.

+Karina Leal The Griz is a bit more reliable while the BF is quicker and better sounding. Touch choice.... I always say I would gladly ride off into the sunset on either a Griz, BF, or King Quad and ride happily ever after.

The locker will be a big help. As for power? The BF is very powerful, very responsive power. And it's more reliable. Put some good mud tires on it to make up the difference. The Can Am has more power, and handles slightly better.

I sure hope they fixed the motor to be more reliable. Seems every 750 I have seen with more then 1000 miles needs rebuilt or has been rebuilt. I am a huge Kawasaki fan but the gen 1 750 made me look else where for a good huge bore ATV.

It's mainly the stock tires....I tell everybody that the very first thing you need to do is change those silly little round stock tires to a better set of radials. The difference will amaze you.

I think ground clearance is highly overrated. It's good to have in deep mud and snow but not so good out on a nice trail. I typically 'lower' my machines as I prefer the stability and better wheel travel with the machine a bit lower and just remember not to straddle tall rocks ;-)

1:55 my 250 guzles down 2.6 gallons in 1 month and i use it 2 or 3 hours a day every single day, so no it is not that efficient either. my honda 70 will run for a month 2 hours everyday on 1.5 gallons, but it is no good exept for going to get the mail!
