So far it has been working okay ,but just yesterday i was riding alone 5 miles back in the bush with a new set of camso t4s tracks that i just installed and when i shut the bike off to take a break it would not start again..Just click click..It turns out that if you are running with your lights on, fan running and poking your way through trees turning alot this thing will kill the battery in a matter of minutes. The kawasaki uses a 14 series battery and a stator system which are both too lite for the heavy loads of the newer bikes.

I have a 2005 brute force 750. With 48 hours on it. It's leaking oil through the plastic tygon tube. The short one. How can I fix this. Ps she has never been in water or mud. I take very good care of my four wheeler

Just bought an 02 prairie 650 as a project, guy had it sitting a few yrs becuase it lost spark, is it common for cdi to go in these? Anything else I should look at to start? Thanks

CDI failures are not common. check all the wiring, fuses, coils etc. Get a good service manual and follow along.

Not sure you got my last message. I have a chance to pickup a 2005 650 brute force. With 2,300 miles on it. The guy wants $2900. For it . Anything I should be aware of when checking it out?
@HammerHeadGarage2 жыл бұрын
Do a leak down test on it before purchase. Anything more than 12-15% pass on it unless you want to do a top end.

In all fairness I'm a true rookie although I do all my own auto maintenance, I'm at whit's end with mine. It seems that the starter is locked up just click on the solenoid under the seat, and I have a new battery, starter, and solenoid. I inherited this from my father in law who wintered it in a shed in Michigan, i am finding signs it was in the water or at least wet mud. Where should I Start next or any tips?

Your injectors are plugged up. Unless you have a machine you need to take them somewhere to have them cleaned out.

No you can't bypass it. Either Kawi or check online.

Maybe a stupid question but I’m new to Kawasaki’s atvs. I’m gettin a good amount of oil on my stator is it supposed to be like that?
@HammerHeadGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are bathed in oil to keep them cool. Part of normal operation.

Question I have a 08 650 it runs normal without the lights if I use the regular lights it drains the battery very fast the light bar by itself doesnt drain it as bad I unhooked the winch do you think it's the stator I cant find any answers online
@HammerHeadGarage3 жыл бұрын
Is it charging? should be 13.5-14.5 volts dc at idle. You might get the battery load tested first and check for shorts in you lighting wiring.
@johnnyjack19883 жыл бұрын
It is at idle then when I turn the headlights on it instantly starts draining and will drain until it kills the bike

Just found your channel. I actually live just outside of Bridgewater. I see your n the Halifax area. I just bought a 2008 brute force 750i and it works great other than it doesn't want to idle. It will die pretty much as soon as I come to a stop. Works great otherwise. Have any tips on what it may be? Thanks! And I did hit the subscribe button!
@DrydenCarver2 жыл бұрын
Forgot to mention it is Fuel Injected. I know 08 was the first year for EFI but wasn't sure if there was still an option for carburetor models of the 750.

Go watch my brute force backfiring fix video. Prob a bad fuel pump, fpr or blocked fuel screen. Im in the valley area.
@DrydenCarver2 жыл бұрын
So even though it only dies at idle you think it could be pump or screen? I had a 2016 750 that I had to replace screen because it would bog at full throttle but it idled fine. Not questioning your expertise.

I have a Kvf650, 2002 that is in great shape, but lately the front wheels lock up like the brakes are on. The right front brake lever acts like it has pressure built up, as you can't even squeeze the brake lever. After the machine sits for a while, and has cooled off good it will once again roll fine. Do you have any insight for me?
@HammerHeadGarage2 жыл бұрын
You need a new brake master cylinder.

Whats your thoughts on using Castrol synthetic magnatec 10/40 oil on an engine change ? on the 750 ?

Nothing wrong with it. I never use synthetic oil. Always just used regular mineral oil and changed it more. 10w40 is the correct weight.

The only ones I would recommend are called heat demon. Just follow their instructions. You need a switched 12v source from the accessory wiring.

Test the fuel pressure. Replace the pump or fpr if needed. If injectors are plugged have them ultrasonically cleaned.

Need Help..... Having issues with my 2011 Brute Force 750. Prior owner bored it out. Few months after buying it started getting oil in airbox, took it to the local kawasaki dealer. They had it for months couldn't figure it out. They said rebuild top end. So Had the top end rebuilt. It sat since only started here and there. No time to ride. Now when i start it, it will idle but will backfire when I give it throttle. (I think the Same problem as u stated in ur one video.) I've noticed my front cylinder still is wet with unburned fuel. Now I took it back to the dealership. They did the exact same tests you did in ur video. Said compression good, coils good, fuel good. Now they saying they having someone come in from kawasaki to check the ECU. It's been 2 yrs now I haven't been able to ride. Feel like kawasaki running me in circles. If you can give any advice or help, it would be greatly appreciated. ThNk you. God Bless
@HammerHeadGarage Жыл бұрын
Before you replace the ecu, make sure the cams are in the right cylinders. The rear camshaft is diff from the front and if you mix them up it will act just like you have said your machine is doing.

@@HammerHeadGarage Thanks for your opinion I am going back down today to the dealership and talk to them Is there any advice you can give me questions to maybe ask them When we start it it idles with no problem when you give it fuel it starts to want to backfire and warmer gets it backfires even more With an engine scope he noticed the front cylinder is left with excess gas in it
