We did a lot of riding on them (and their sister tire the ITP ATR) and absolutely loved them - just as you say....but was worried that due to low sales (they didn't look aggressive enough ;-) that they were being discontinued.

@liverpool5917 The choice depends on where you ride and what you do with the ATV. A very good all around tire is the Goodyear MTR. Also the Carlisle ACT. The new Yamaha Big Bear comes with ITP Mud Lites - another great choice.

Thanks for the reply, I will keep those in mind also. I've noticed the other brands have more weight than my current 26" on 12" wheel ACT set up. So I may drop back to a 25" tire on my next purchase. I do realize that most aren't true to size. As you know the King is high geared in H range, and i use L allot in lower trail speeds. Mine is not PS I get the full lock turn at low speed turns with a bump also, and some high speed twitch in bumps. I'm thinking a steering damper. aarms need chang

You really have to check the tire resellers like Rocky Mountain ATV or ATV Direct to find out exactly.

What tire and rim would you recommend for the 09 king quad

I bought them two years ago so I don't know if the are still being manufactured.....they are a great balance between handling, traction, and price. Their only disadvantage is that they need to be more puncture-resistant - but that would result in a higher price, defeating the purpose of the tire. Oh - and they are also very good in the snow for plowing purposes.

Stock wheels for me because they stay under the fenders more than the aftermarket. STI makes a wheel with very little additional offset but it's still more than stock. Plus the stockers are the lightest. We like the ITP Terra Cross, MudLite XTR, and the STI Black Diamonds and the Carlisle Black Rocks. We very much like the Carlisle ACTs as well, but they wear pretty fast.

@mnhockey1422 ITP ATRs are what's on mine. I'd also check out the 25" Terra Cross. While you could go 26" I think 25s are just right on that machine.

Hello Doug. I was wondering if you guys have had a chance to try the Kenda HTR radial tire? My current Carlisle ACT radials have worked exceptional on my KQ750, but,,there is always a but,,they wear quite quickly. In 800 miles of mixed trail riding they are coming close to replacement time already. I'm looking for a similar type tire with a longer lasting tread life. I do like a center line lug for steering and higher speed handling. Thank you.

guy from itp just told me that an 8 ply bias will handle the same as a radial and have a stronger more puncture resistand sidewall - advice, please Doug?

i have a kawasaki bayou 250 2wd, im lookin for a 50% trail 50% mud tire, my rim size is 10inches, and i dont want to go more then 10 inches wide. what tire do you suggest? o also no more than 23inches tall.

what do you think of the badlands xtrs? They were oem on my 'Cat and I replaced the old ones with new oems.....They work well in an all around fashion for me - the do nothing great, but are good in a multitude of conditions.

That is indeed the drawback to the ACTs. I do think they are absolutely the best tire except for that. I have never tried the HTRs but like many of the newer tires they have lot's of forward grip but not much lateral grip. What I put on the latest KQ we have here is the ITP MudLite XTRs. They are very much like the ACT but heavier and more durable. I have not put a lot of miles on one set yet to test their longevity but from what I see they should last considerably longer than the ACTs.

I just had to replace one rear tire so I replaced them both, I bought the Kenda Bear claw HTR. 8 ply radial.I go them though, jrgraham.com They priced matched another website. and I got them for $103.99 each. can you do a review of these tires and let us know how they are. I am not an expert by any means. I was just going off of reviews I could find.

Hi Doug ! Listen a lot of your video's are very poor Quality 240p , You have to up-graded to at least 480p or higher and step up your game lol the viewing is horrible you could hardly make out important details on some of the things you're watching. Thanks other than that love your video's.

Raul Venegas Many of these videos (like this one) are clips that are taken from our television show from many years past so there was no HD in those days. I think we ran from 1999 to around 2004 before we went to any kind of HD videos.
