There are a ton of incredible trails in the Moab area. Grab a trail book for the area and start dreaming :-)

Remote would have probably been a better word than desolate. Lockhart Basin is not desolate. It's ~30 miles of scenic vistas that are every bit as beautiful as the Hurrah Pass trail. There are also more historical things in Lockhart like a crashed plane, a stray missile, old mines, and a miner's trailer that has been left. And not to mention Lockhart Canyon has the only place in Utah where you can LEGALLY ride an OHV in a National Park (Canyonlands NP). On a weekend, Chicken Corners trail can be a dusty traffic jam. But turn off onto the Lockhart trail and you'll likely not see another soul for hours, maybe days.
