Why were some ministers and generals preying on innocent Eritreans to eliminate potential opposition to Isaias Afewerki? They clearly supported Isaias's interests and aligned their interests with his. The issue arose when Isaias betrayed and disregarded them, yet they were unable to eliminate him. He was considered godlike by them, and opposing him was deemed blasphemous.
