I have been on quads for some time. But everyone had pretty cheap / low cc quads. I had the opportunity to ride a 400ex and loved the power. It was a blast on the trails. I cant imagine something with 10-15 more hp

It would be cool to see a flat track/TT racing ATV build! Maybe the base machine could be a TRX 450R or LTR 450, and a major aftermarket brand (like Rath Racing or Walsh Racecraft) could get on board as well.

My dream quad as a kid. I remember flipping thru dirt wheels magazine and seeing the 400ex and how amazing the machine looked with its bug eyes, something about the look of it... Never got to own one but was able to build my own yfz450r with all the best parts on the market late last year all hand built by me from the frame to every single bolt. This video series has been pretty awesome to watch a 400ex get rebuilt. Takes a lot of time and effort but it’s all worth it in the end

We remember those days when the 400 was first hitting the market. Had a fully built Yamaha Warrior at the time. The EX sent me running for the 2-stroke class. LOL We bet that YFZ450R was worth the wait. We hope you'll check out the test. Editing it now.

You installed the axle nut incorrectly

@ATVonDemand it's a easy mistake I rode for few years with mine incorrect. The jamb nut goes against axle nut not the caliper
