Like you said this is great to let the actors sink their teeth into it. That's one thing that kills me with Atwater's character they never give him a girlfriend. Atwater's always been my favorite character too. It seems like he was going to get Rojas but now that she left I hope they hook him up with whatever new female cop they bring in the future. This episode was too pc. You can't have 6 seasons of the cage and all of a sudden no cage. Hank is awesome because of his underhanded tactics. It gets the job done. At least he didn't murder the guy at the end. Tell the Dad his name and let him do it or let the drug dealer do it. As far as the ending it was sad but not unexpected. Just because cops are under intense scrutiny doesn't mean they should ruin the show. Watch Andy Griffith if you want by the book.

No vid for Atwater voight confrontation so I'll comment here... Vought's character, personality, and law breaking tactics is what has made Chicago PD unique for me compared to other law shows. If they use the combination of the new assist sup with BLM and police brutality, to water down Voight and make Chicago PD just another police show. I will be highly irritated and possibly lose interest.
@BruteStrength994 жыл бұрын
It's been headed this way for a long time. His unit has been under a microscope since Voight made Justin's killer dig his own grave and shot him in the face. I do miss Voight's days in the cage. But Voight ain't Vic Mackey. If he doesn't adjust some he's gonna get caught. I remember Voight locked up on Chicago fire and I hated it. I don't want to see that again.
@RaymondStarkes4 жыл бұрын
@@BruteStrength99 he has been under microscope since season 1 episode 1. So i disagree. Nothing has changed. He has done things his way for 30 years. Why should the script change his thought process and methods. The cage is necessary.
@BruteStrength994 жыл бұрын
@@RaymondStarkes I never said anything about the cage being unnecessary. I actually like the cage scene. Especially in the 1st crossover episode conventions when he cuts the ear. But the cage doesn't make Sgt. Voight. It never did. He's hardly used it over the last 4 seasons. In fact since his Confrontation with Lt. Benson I've only seen it about 3 times. The last few seasons if a murderer was going to walk he'd just put it out in the streets what the murderer did and it would take care of itself. My point to my first comment is every year since Justin's murder they do less and less. Even when he shot Olinsky's murderer the guys was pulling a gun. He wouldn't even let Olinsky deal with the arsonist who murdered his daughter. I think Voight is changing as he gets older. Olinsky's death is a burden he has to carry because his actions precipitated that. That's scene where he's on the roof drinking and crying for only the 2nd time saying I'm sorry Al is not something one can dismiss. Deep down Sgt. Voight is a good man so his guilt will affect him and will continue to affect how he does his job.
@RaymondStarkes4 жыл бұрын
@@BruteStrength99 my point is wasnt that the cage was a pilar of what Intelligence is or who Voight is. I'm simply saying it part of him. It defines Voight. He has said it several times, he will do whatever it takes to defend his city. So only when necessary, the cage is necessary. Yes his character has changed since Justin's death. But so have rhe criminals and circumstances. The criminals in Season 1-3 were way worse than what we have seen the last 3 seasons

what season & ep it is ?
@sagemadden83634 жыл бұрын
Okay not gonna lie this ep. Message was really good, and I actually like those parts (from my knowledge it did it justice from both perspectives including the BLM and Blue lives matter) But it was real... poorly executed (everyone read there lines great but they were the most dry lines I ever darn heard. I know the first ep. Sets the scene, but yall every character was literally so boring. What are you doing. Put some more emphasis on it and make them sound less like robots. We need people not another Zoom call). For whatever reason this season had a whole new perspective and everything. Loved how atwater stood up go Voight (which like finally... jeez. Voight out here just hitting every perp. That enters his presinct.) But it was strange how you could see the cops getting mad, watching themselves, and then nothing. Literally everyone had like 4 lines except for Atwater (which is fair, this is his season and everything) but he bout to loose his job so idk why they started with planted dope. Which. What. Umm. I'm sorry. Atwater. What are you thinking dumping that. And then he gets knocked out at the end, cop gang beating him up. Honestly surprised hes not dead already. But overall, a 7/10 episode (I'll probably like it more later.)

Every time watching this clip gives me chills especially knowing damm well it's not always about race. Especially of how the black cop really will shoot another black man on sight and some get blinded because of the blue wall and how some like the white cop don't know anything. Also I hate about after this that cliffhanger though kills me especially when we have to see Kevin Atwater fight for reform.
