Thanks. Lots of good morsels in here. So many wonderful performances - my favorite is Sofia Landon, making the most out of what could have easily been a disposable role. Marland knew how to make Craig a bit of a cocky jerk without ruining him. Too bad they never did more with Craig/Jess. Hal wasn't so blase about the hands when they were on his wife... I think Emma did sell all of the farm, which just makes that scene with her family even sadder.

@CarlD2 Now that I've seen some of Sofia Landon's work on GL, I feel like she was roughly Diane Ballard with an accent in this role. What we learn about the characters in this portion is trippy. Not only does Craig like to cop a feel, but Tonio has a huge blood vessel in his scrotum. Priceless.

It's ironic that no one told Pam where to find a pitchfork in case of a perceived rape at Lucinda's stables. How fun is it to watch people with no rhythm dance to the tune of James Stenbeck. He doesn't have to be in the room to give the townsfolk whiplash with a mere mention!

Lucinda already taught us that about Craig... The work is mostly the same, although this character is much more needy.

It's too bad Jennifer Ashe left not long after this. Meg was coming into her own (and seemed to be calling from a throne). She and Pam had such similar hair you might think they were twins. I really liked Robin Morse's work as Pam, so quiet yet, in her own way, strong, and very intelligent, although repeatedly asking a drunk, violent man about his violent past is not smart. Shannon takes the cake for stupido here, but at least she looks good. I love how everyone gets to react to word of James.

I also love CZ's work here, always making herself known in every scene. In 1990 a soap magazine said she was a bad actress who should only be limited to commercials, which baffles me, as this era was some of her finest work. I especially love her bitchy miming of a toast to Lucinda when she walks in with John. I wish they'd kept this Jared. His daughter is annoying, but then, she was supposed to be.
