Always loved atwt theme from the early 90's.... Such a sad but beautiful song at the same time. Brings back memories as a kid watching all the soaps with my gmaw...bold&the beautiful, atwt, guiding light.

Jelinda's theme by Barry Devorzon who also helped create Nadia's theme aka the Young and the Restless theme. The song was called Cotton's dream before the name change in 1976 because it was a music cue for the character Cotton in the 1971 movie Bless the beast and the Children!

As a piece of pretty music on its own, it's very pleasant. As the theme to any programme, much less a soap, it's pretty terrible. It's too bland and made me change the channel when it would come on.

Daytime television hasn't been the same sine"AS THE WORLD TURNS "was cancelled.Thought of the characters as family especially Helen Wagner who played Nancy Hughes.,who could have been every bodies Mom. Loved this theme but nothing could compare with the orginal openings well as when serials used organ music. Stories losed alot of intensity without that edge of your seat music.

@@jamescarcione3501 Charles Paul played the organ and piano for "The Secret Storm", "As The World Turns" and "Love Of Life" every day for over a decade. In the 70's, he moved "The Guiding Light". So almost all of those organs you heard were Charles Paul.

Thankyou Chuck,lam aware Charles Paul played the music for these shows.l see you go back as far as LOVE OF LIFE,that was my favorite as well as my father's when l was a kid.The shows were never the same when they dropped the organ. Disagreements with the musicians union. What a trip it would be to tune in and see Vanessa and Bruce Sterling again.That was great story telling and l remember when the show's were live.

Hated this theme. Head writer Douglas Marland died not long after they started using it, so to me it represents the decline of this once-superior show.
