This takes me back to the days when I worked at the Aotea Centre. The city was a bit more wild then. Life at risk wandering the streets at night. Fort Street omigod!! Then it changed when cars were limited and streets were for people. The most recent was an evening out with family after watching my grandson play league (Glenora). We had ice cream at Miann (then in Fort Street) and a walk along Queen. How it had changed. How clean! The evening did not stop there, it was back to the West, dinner at Casablanca in Northwest, Massey and coffee on the plaza. Bliss! Enjoyed your walk immensely. Thanks

Oh my, how about Bargain Chemist in Westgate, next to Mitre 10. It's an acreage of health products. Good advice from pharmacists too.

Regrettably, the city of Auckland has undergone a significant transformation due to the implementation of bus lanes. This change resulted in the removal of side road parking to accommodate cycle lanes, which, despite being underutilized, have now been closed. Consequently, the city's aesthetic appeal has been compromised. Furthermore, there is a growing concern about the escalating cost of living, particularly in relation to exorbitant food prices and dining expenses. This, coupled with apprehensions about job security and tax implications, has contributed to an atmosphere of unease among the populace. Auckland was formerly a picturesque city until the implementation of bus lanes resulted in the removal of side road parking to accommodate underutilized cycle lanes, which have since been closed. It is disheartening to witness the decline of Auckland's beauty following the changes brought about by the bus lanes. The removal of side road parking to make way for cycle lanes that are now closed has impacted the city's charm. Additionally, the escalating cost of living, particularly in terms of expensive food prices and dining expenses, has created challenges for many. The concerns about job security and taxes have also added to the current difficulties.

Dude. I think you must be ignorant. I live in the Central City, on Queen Street. I use an ebike and public transport. If you knew anything you'd know there is not car parking available for all the apartment block residents. Make your own part of the city an ugly, uninhabitable road network with free public storage of private assets.

You must be comparing it to some great places. This is considered more than decent when you generally compare against the world.
