I'm drowning, here!!! My mouth was watering so hard, I couldn't swallow fast enough. I've never had Malaysian food, so I don't know what I'm missing there. But when you got to the hand pulled noodle shop...first the sensuous way the chef was kneading the dough, and pulling it out, then watching the two of you slurping down all those great dishes...OMG! I made the mistake of watching this after not having eaten all day. I have noodles cooking right now!🤤 Another great little hidden gem . Thanks guys!

Did you ever go to Well Done Noodles in Albert Street it sadly closed when street redevelopment started a few years ago - they had a curry beef brisket noodle soup that was magic in a bowl - gone but not forgotten

Good to see you guys again. I went to that Malaysian restaurant last year during the lockdown, so it only did takeaways. Then I went there again 10 days ago, and they said it was red light and they only did takeaways! 😫 I went to that hand-pulled noodle mid last year. It's harder and harder to have hand-pulled noodles in Auckland after COVID. A few places I knew stopped doing that I noticed. As for that Vietnamese restaurant, it was there for ages. I still preferred Vietnamese food in Sydney to those in AKL.

I really enjoy your videos, but am puzzled by one thing. Almost without fail, you call Auckland "Tamaki Makaurau Auckland". It's clear that you're trying to send a message of some sort, but, for the life of me, I can't figure out what it is. This has to be more than just acknowledging the area's Maori heritage (otherwise you'd mention "Tamaki Makaurau" just in passing). So, what's going on? This is calling your objectivity into question, because it suggests that you are being directed by a government agency (perhaps Auckland Council) to say "Tamaki Makaurau Auckland" over and over again.

Hey mate. It’s much more simple. We have a world wide audience so using both names helps people know what we’re talking about. If we eat coriander we sometimes say cilantro also, if we have crayfish we’ll mention lobster etc etc. It’s just to make sure our audience from all corners of the globe know what’s being talked about. I don't think you're being honest here. Why don't you give the *real* reason why you consistently say "Tamaki Makaurau Auckland"? Is this some sort of 'secret handshake' (like how many people use "Aotearoa New Zealand" as a 'secret handshake' to show support for the Green Party)? Or is Auckland Council sponsoring you, and directing you to say "Tamaki Makaurau Auckland"?
