Another phenomenal video (aren’t they all 😂). Love Cantonese cuisine - like Thomas said, the conviviality of yum cha is unparalleled (and everyone gets to try so many different dishes with communal dining - my favourite style of dining). Pearl Garden’s dim sum looks amazing, especially that jin dui (sesame glutinous rice ball with black sesame filling)! Roast meats are such a staple as well. Cantonese-style BBQ is in a class of its own, just like American-style BBQ smoked meats!!

@@ChasingaPlate there are some good authentic places I’ve visited with some Chinese Americans when I lived in San Francisco, but for the most part, it’s breaded and fried foods and noodles. Basically, tiny fried chicken nuggets in a sugar sauce! I will say that Dim Sum places are becoming more popular here so there is some representation! We loved the video and footage, as per usual! Keep up the excellent work, guys!!

Love Dim Sum. Started travelling to HK 30 years ago and stayed mainly in the Tsim Tsa Tsui area. Where I got amazing Dim Sum, Beef Tendon soup, incredible hotels like the Peninsula, Shangri-La and where some of the best Toronto chefs apprenticed, like the amazing Susur Lee. We eat Dim Sum once a week (albeit takeout due to Covid restrictions) as well as Cantonese Chow Mein and Roast Duck. I could go on for days but this is your show and this is truly an excellent episode! Mm Goi!

The clay pot rice at Panda Kitchen (Meadowland) is quite well known although I do not know whether they are cooked with Charcoal. Their crispy roast pork is seriously good!
