Growing up in Panmure, seeing this video just brings back memories. This is my backyard this whole video, but it's funny knowing people see it as the "hood" but all I see is home. Best childhood growing up in that area, Mount Wellington to one side and Tamaki river to the other running a muck inbetween. Streets were tough and rugged but the people are gems. Grateful for the video

Lived down maybury mid to late 90s. Always walked with my pitbull Damien. Was arrested at lines rd flats ended up in waikeria and never went back to g.i. Brings back alot of memories. Miss that dog. He had me covered walking those streets. After watching this i realized I was out of my depth at the time. I was a Maori from the east coast Gisborne. I used to walk around thinking i was tough with red and white poka dots on usually tied around my dogs neck. I had one of the first pitbull lines in Gisborne. He was 60 lbs of ripped muscle. Im convinced he must of kept me from being rolled because at that time i think amongst my mates I was the only dog supporter. Maybe the LORD kept me safe too. Glory to JESUS
