Jonathan, 20, 30 years ago, I think most interested parties would've considered the '33 a parts car, not a project. Thing is, there is a finite number of these old cars left in the wild, they are becoming rarer, and harder to find every year. Having witnessed enough of your supremely confident "not a problem" approach, coupled with your mastery of low budget builds, and resourcefulness, this one's in the bag. Knowing you, if you don't find a front clip, you'll will that mangled mess into submission. Find a frame and take it from there. We can't wait.

Very true to find an original 33, in San Francisco there's a shop that builds car's from 1932-34 restamp sheet metal they look Original but with modern up grades like power steering power breaks set up. A few celebrities bought them mostly musicians like BB King, George Lucas they crank out about 6 car's a year and a long waiting list. I was amazed when I went in the shop. I've been in many diffrent body shop's Kustom shops all through California bay area and beyond.....

But then you showed us that great blue 1933 three window coupe, the hand cranked hauler and that great pickup truck with the missing front fenders. Thanks for another nice vid - it the rain yet! MY 63 NOVA DROP TOP STORY: bought in 1971 for $100 at the end of winter in Buffalo NY - the rear window was permanently unzipped but the heater worked good. The rear fenders were trapezoidal cut outs for the slicks it once had and prolly powered by a small block V8. But now an I-6. Hershey brown with a tan top - black int. buckets, 3 OTF. When I first saw the car the seller pointed out that the Georgia plates were good for a month with a bill of sale. Two downsides he said the valve guides leaked and the trunk was unusable because it had an inch of engine/transmission oil sloshing around which looked a bit scary to me. I was a college kid and had a tight budget so I let the GA plates expire. When I had the money for registration I drove back roads to the registry. Of course I sailed right past a speed trap and glided as far away so my expired tag would be hard to read. Then waited. One cop yelled “what do we have (speed) for the kid in the cut down job? The other “He’s good”. Wheeeew. The engine was strong but burning plumes of smoke was an occasional bodily function. I was told by the owner just add oil when the light goes on. Back then you could by a 2.5 gallon can of recycled oil for a dollar - so that sort of off set the burning using recycled. The newly formed EPA Environmental Police didn’t think so. I was stopped by them in a green cruiser and fined $10 for polluting when my car had a bodily function right in front of them. But the best story was when I was on a long trip and filled the oil up and then some for good measure. I was in the foothills of the Catskills on Route 17 and passed a white Mustang. I was really moving (for show) and going down a steep hill - BAROOOM!!? I turned the engine off pulled over and couldn’t believe my eyes. An enormous plum of smoke settling over the valley - beautiful. AWESOME! The Mustang guy pulled over behind me yelling “I saw it blow - I saw it blow”. He needled me a bit then kindly offered to help - he new the area and I was 200 miles from home. The Mustang took off and promised to return in a while. The valley was glowing as the sun was streaming over the exhaust smoked hills. Needless to say the engine started right up strong as could be. I arrived home from college and my mother, who - very into cars, didn’t like the cutdown job. When I put it on the market for $50 I thought it was a steal. A kid came by when I wasn’t home and offered $10 to my Mom. She accepted (grabbed it). and the kid drove off in the eyesore. “Mom” I said “it had a new tire and battery - that $35 LOST! “. And she’s thinking “good ridence “cut down job””

My thoughts on the 3 window is $500-$1000.00. All you really buying are the 2 doors, a clip cab, ( cut at the lower w/s post) and back. The cowl is going to hard to pull more than likely it will tear loose or apart so will the rear on the left side. Another frame is a must ! I would make some pulls to relieve the pressure first and see how things. Just my thoughts !

If you were to part out some of the those parts you aren't interested in, you could make at least $2000 or more. I would pay $2500 or more for this rare coupe body. The main body has little or no rust, and door are next to perfect. The grille would bring close to a $1000 buck by it self. The dash is intact, along with the gauges. Even though the hood is bent, it could still bring in at least $500 bucks if somebody needed a 33 chevy hood in any condition. You could make more money by parting out that coupe than what you pay for it.

The ‘33 Chevy three window is really a ‘34 Chevy rare three window. It’s steel sheetmetal over wood inside structure. Usually the wood above the bottom door sills stays in better shape then the body lower over metal chassis frame wood. The body wood sill frame is fairly ease to replace. The upper inside wood structure is labor intensive because of all the joints. With the top having been filled, probably saved the upper wood structure from weathering. I think the final bid price should be no more than 1K.

Depending on how you're going to go with the frame, I could see some people going as high as $1,500. There's a lot of stuff there to put a car together. But a lot of work. A lot of low ballers here in the comments suggesting 5-600. I reckon if you get it for under $1,200, you're doing well. Two interested bidders might see it go even higher. A ton of work, but if anyone can sort her out, JW can, no doubt.

Between $500 and $800. The rear left quarter can be pulled out, fenders can be repaired, deck lid made and the chassis may be salvaged, cut and fabricated in sections to make the old one new. The question is, do you want this car that much?
