From a Freightliner mechanic. My thoughts are we do this at the dealership all the time. If you find out who repaired it, see if they will financially help you with your repairs because their repairs Fayette made the motor fail. Secondly, you're talking about the belts on the engine. Upgrade the engine to the single belt serpentine belt on the 60. I like the fact that you were buying the truck that I was looking at and you had the problem and I didn't cuz you're able to do things more readily available. Keep posting. Love your posts

Currently working on a 7.6 liter John Deere engine with a blown head gasket that turned into a major overhaul to fix things that weren't done correctly the first time. You never know what you have unless you do it yourself.

I had an old Freightliner FLD that was pressurizing the radiator and it ended up being an air check valve in the bunk heater had went bad. I could drive it about 10 miles and it would blow the water out of it. We were just about to pull the head off the B model Cat and I called a mechanic and he said that it could be the Bunk Heater valve and sure enough it was that. Like your videos have a great day.

Damn. That's a perfect truck. Looking like a 12.7 motor. Air Ride front axle. Davco Fuel Filter. Great wheelbase. Now you are going to put in a 13sp. That's a perfect combination.
