Believe me, as an owner who wants to prolong my equipment as long as possible and idle as absolutely little as possible, I understand the concept of "finite time" on a motor. One thing that helps me to relax quite a bit though is thinking, if I idle tonight, that just means my engine will eat shit 1 day sooner".. Thinking about that day that will inevitably come down the line, are you not going to rebuild it because it happened on Wednesday instead of Thursday? When it happens, you'll handle it.. I'll rebuild mine AGAIN when it comes time.... Just relax and let these motors do what they were built to do, work..... God bless, brother...

I don't if you'll see this or read this, but, I absolutely love your videos. I an from SE Wyoming and currently live in Las Vegas. I miss Wyoming and Montana more than anyone will ever know. I love truck and wish I had been a truck driver, I was told by my dad early in life, that God gives you a gift, it's up to you find out what that is, his was auto body and paint. Mine was electrical, I'm very proficient in a lot of trades buy electrical is my specialty. I've been fascinated by trucks and driving my whole life. I am also a cowboy, I grew up in the sandhills of Nebraska. I learned to drive at a very very young age. I learned to drive a semi at 14. Only one summer, haven't driven one since. I miss it. My story is a long and very colorful one. I heul heavy loads with light tow vehicles over roads that shouldn't be done, but I'm still here. I've been all over the US and miss these two stated the most. I miss people like you the very most. I guess that's my point. God bless and I hope to meet ya son day. Thank you

Nothing wrong at all with doing reviews. I’ve actually been made aware of some good stuff this way and “as you said” just don’t watch if of no interest. Pretty simple eh! Enjoyed this video of the old cabover Jax….thanks for the “free” entertainment 😊 Also I would think any ranchers who hire you should be aware of the concern you have that the cattle have “sufficient “ room in trailer. I’m sure (have no evidence 😮) that some others would just force as many in as possible. But then, once they’re shipped, maybe the ranchers don’t care either? Unknown to me how they think about it, but I admire your scruples.

I did South Pass once. Hauled dairy heifers to Ogden UT from Iowa. Loaded calves on a ranch southeast of Ely NV and followed the group of trucks I was with across Hwy 50 to Delta UT on the way to Belfry MT. I think it was 1983 when the Great Salt Lake was flooding and drove through water for a mile or more on Hwy 50. I wouldn't have taken the chance if I was by myself and heard they closed the road again after that trip. I stopped at Rock Springs to make sure SP was okay before heading up that way since I had a slow truck and couldn't keep up with the others.

On my Barrett 53x102 pot I have a trap in the center of the front in the belly and it has 1/2"x2"key stock welded on the floor and a cover on top of that. It will let the water out and keep most of the solids for the most part in the trailer. And you have to really look in order to see that the water is coming out.

South Pass and Wind River Canyon wish I had a nickel for every mile I hauled soda ash from Green River up to the bentonite plants in the Big Horn Basin and the Stillwater mine. You have to be prepared for South Pass in the winter, I never chained up, but did a fair amount of spinning with momentum to get over the top of some of the steep hills grossing 105, 500. Also been trapped on top because of people that don't know how to slow down and end up piling up their rig and blocking the highway.
