This was a good interview. The questions were really direct and allowed for fluid and extemporaneous answers. This band only recently showed up on my radar. I’m impressed with their musical style and commitment to it. “The Weight of Dreams” being described as a thesis of previous efforts resonates with me after sampling more of their work. The substance of their contribution to current music is surprising and refreshing.

Not even close. King G is merely an intellectual effort. Their music experiments with micro tones but has no real beauty to it, and it is repetitive, the same measure repeated X500 times in the same song. No wonder they release 3 records a year with that level of repetition, the creativity rate is the same of a dynamic band as GVF releasing one every 2 years

@@Tityretupatulae Infest The Rats Nest: straight up old school 80s thrash metal. Murder Of The Universe: 3 chapter sci-fi heavy metal epic (my favorite) Laminated Denim: 2 songs both 15 min long and 60bpm. Combined with a unique time signature gives the illusion (actually you hear it the whole time) of a ticking clock. (My second favorite) very jammy, Allman bros sounding Butterfly 3000: a phycadelic dream pop album (a pop album that sounds amazing) All their albums are concept albums. They are more twords the phycadelic rock/prog rock side musically, but are extremely talented at playing absolutely any genre you ask them to and they'll do it better than anyone. If you think I'm exaggerating, I actually am not. Edit: best album to start with is Nonagon Infinity. 9 songs that all flow into each other and the last song flows into the first, making it an infinite loop. Can Wikipedia it if you want. Soooooo good. Take care, hope you get them.
