The only things I never sold for speed and cocaine. I played you from 1 disc to another then repeated. Nights sitting at train stations with my eyes bugged out listening to songs of the same thing, especially dookie and insomniac. The only thing that kept me alive was green day. It’s like it was my escape world. I was never alone. I’m now a dad and have a good job, new car , home and friends. But my biggest friends will always be you, mike and tre. I’m serious I’m in tears writing this I feel so close to you. Green day saved my life.

Some have said that Billy Joe Armstrong's voice sounds "nasal." That's not what I hear. The thing I noticed from the very beginning is that Billy Joe's voice is over- the-top scarry PERFECT. He hits every note with PERFECT pitch no matter how fast he sings. He nails each note clearly without swooping up to it, and in a millisecond hits the next note PERFECTLY. This guy has perfect pitch, almost super human. Its not easy for any singer to pull that off consistently... and live... especially when you're also the lead guitar player!
