Another good review Max. Those are the bamboo rings. I have the same version, and my sticky-outy ears definitely do touch the fazors. Audeze would offer spacers for previous versions of the pads, however they aren't compatible with the new pads. As a suggestion, it would be good to have an overlay of the minidsp ears measurements while you are describing the frequency response
@maxsettings78845 жыл бұрын
The reason I don’t do an overlay is the EARS graph is not entirely accurate so I am not reading off that graph. I am reading off my notes of what I hear listening to sine sweep. So the graph is going to show a bit different than what I am describing.

@@maxsettings7884 Well in that case you could search for a HATS measurement, both IF and Rtings have a substantial HATS measurements, I would be careful with Rtings measurements, sometimes their scoring system is weird and the measurements don't line with other sources such as IF.
@maxsettings78845 жыл бұрын
Juan David Pabon I would love a HATS. However an accurate one like the one Rtings uses which is also the same one Tyll used on the 2nd hand market is around $20,000. New they can push $40,000. So yeah don’t have that kind of cash to spend.

That shot at Zeos lmao, great review! I would have to disagree with you on the 2's but then again all of this is very subjective. But IMO, 2C > 2. The 2's are definitely more detailed but the 2C really just feels like it sacrifices some detail for better soundstage.

Hi Max! How are you? I've get a LCD 2 fazor bamboo edition, from a friend, and a just want to know if you think that the LCD 2 can be a "end game" headphone in 2022 still. I've did a good shot buying these headphones as my daily driver's last one?

What are your thoughts on the LCD-X? The Creator version without the case is fairly reasonably priced and was seriously considering it. Thanks!
@maxsettings78845 жыл бұрын
LCD-X is an interesting one. The main issue with that headphone is it’s a lottery. Basically every pair is different sounding. I’ve heard 3 pairs of LCD-X. Two were awful and one was pretty good.

I have got 4xx and 6xx and i like the 4xx more In this case do you prefer to me to get the ananda or edition xx over the LCD2 ?
@maxsettings78844 жыл бұрын
If you prefer the signature of the 4XX then I would for for the Ananda. LCD-2 going to be on the dark side. Edition XX I haven't heard yet, but I have not heard the best things about. It is not the same as the Edition X, it is a new cheaper driver that was made specifically for that headphone to meet the price bracket.

Ananda have wonky dynamics but is it really lagging behind in terms of detail and soundstage ? That's interesting. How about compared to 2C ? I thought Ananda's strong suit is soundstage and detail. I don't like their tonality much. Treble is good, bass is good but lacks dynamics, mids... there is too much energy between 200 and 700hz combined with the dip after 1k it sounds off in my opinion. Ananda needs more dynamics and eq to it's mids. I find that after eq'ing mids compression problem is mostly solved. When i first tried the Ananda first thing i heard was compression. Ananda somehow manages to sound like compressed and low res but it can also give subtle details very easily. Now you said that i'm interested in 2C and 2.

Very different headphone. Overall I’d say the LCD-2 is more refined. Little better in dynamics and doesn’t have that those weird mids. Also these are better built imo. However I still think Aiva might slightly outresolve them especially in the treble area. But LCD-2 is WAY darker than the Aiva. Their signatures are majorly different so it’s going to come down to what you want in signature.

Not at 2k, but at 4k. A known issue with the tonal balance of Audeze headphones. However, the Reveal plugin or even a good Equalizer APO profile reverts the issue without any flaw that I can hear. Really, these cans can take a freaking ton of EQ like champions.
