Using Hifiman Sundara and Grado 125 - each device serve a purpose for me, when i need the different sound stages. For the “Rock” tracks, these are some of my fav’s: When i am gone (3 doors down) Road Rage (Catatonia) - just enjoy the singing Cannonball (Supertramp) - Just have about every type of soundstage representation, perfection. And just to introduce you to some of the Danish Rock Action Love is a loser’s game (Dizzy miss Lizzy) Whispering at the top of my lungs (Tim Christensen) - try, and take the Orchestra out of the rock band (or not). The garden tale (Volbeat) - Just to get the blood flowing again.

Just got these a few weeks ago and have only used them with my LG V60. They are light in bass and I have eq'd them to add some in. Not sure if I'm going to keep them, but they do that magic trick of space between instruments better than most. Picking things out in a mix and placing where the singer is vs the instruments is pretty cool. I need to try these with a dac/amp to see if they need more power to get them sounding their best. Best tracks so far on these: Eagles "Long Road out of Eden", Wolfgang Muthspiel "Clearing" and Beck's "Elevator Music". Any suggestions for a portable dac/amp for these?

I had a V60 and G8, and currently have a G7. They sound great, but their headphone amps don't push enough current to do justice to a lot of headphones. I suggest you use planars with a dedicated desktop amp, because even the most efficient ones tend to sound bass shy with small amps. EDIT: I have the AudioQuest DragonFly Cobalt and it's got enough power for anything.

With Sony owning Audeze, I'd love to see the Audeze headphones having great audio quality on Xperia smartphones. If only Sony can put built-in DAC in the Xperia.

These look solid, I love the metal build quality , for 400€ they look like a next headphones to me, and my first planner magnetic, since you like opera, you might wanna check Diana Damrau, what gives me goosebumps is her performance in the ninth gate : vocalise

They look so good! I was wondering, are they more comfortable than the DT770? I use the 32 ohm version and the ear pads are a tiny bit too small, which can be a little annoying for the upper part of the ear over time. The inside of the pads on the Audeze seems taller, so they might not be a bad fit for me. I will try and find a store to try them myself, but unfortunately there aren't many stores where I live. It's a bummer since buying headphones online is a bit of a gamble.

That's a great question, and I dont believe you can. I will ask audeze though. The way each cup can handle BOTH signals, I dont THINK that would work...

Absolutely BRILLIANT headphone. I find them a touch bright out of the box, but it takes VERY little to adjust them to hit my vibe.

i have 660S2 and i dont like how they sounded... dont get me wrong, its very good headphones, but something missing to me... music is not, what i except from these. I was looking for LCD X, but price is too high. Will be MM100 better than 660S2?

I personally don't like using comparisons like "better" and "worse" as headphones (especially expensive ones) are SUPER personal. It's really subjective territory. I'd start with trying some EQ on the Sennys, and see if you can dial in the sound you want. From there you should have a better idea of what kind of performance you're looking for in another headphone. In my brain, comparing the 660 agianst the mm100 is tricky as theyre kinda built for different purposes. I would say that I PERSONALLY prefer the Audeze over the 660, but I dont know I can say they will be better for everyone who compares those two cans.

@@SomeGadgetGuy i know its hard to say, but 660S2 sounds muddy to me almost with every music i play. its just not, what i want. I am not friendly with EQ, but i will try. Thanks for your opinion, it was useful :)

Hmmm... Every ear is unique, but I'd never consider the 660S2 "muddy". The way a planar articulates might be your vibe though. See if you can tweak that 660 first and get it to perk up a bit. Then see if a headphone delivers something closer to that EQ adjustment. It's fun to play with those settings. Happy hunting!

I contest this bias! I definitely group my $30 koss with my audiophile headphones which go up to $1300. Increased price does not equate to a better listening experience or quality.
