We need more linux tablets tbh. I think that will unlock more desktop use cases faster than android and ipados will.

I one thousand percent agree with all of your sentiments! It is honestly criminal what these companies did to us consumers man.

NOPE these days it does not work, it use to loooooong time ago, not now, i just looked again if some update fixed it, but NO... so if i damage screen, i have to pay someone to 1st change screen before i can move files out... and that already happened once, just typical android, too many things use to work, but broken for years, actually almost decade

I just got this tablet with the keyboard for $450. They bundled the keyboard for free and then I used a promo code. On top of that, I used Xmas money I got from family, so I effectively got it for free. It's been amazing! Mind you, I haven't had a tablet since the damn Google Nexus 7 years ago!

Love to see this. Fully agree on your take on the ground up approach! HUD first makes so much more sense. Found your video after seeing the Even G1. *That* is excellent hardware I'd love see pick up on the software more, like these.

Consider that the Tablet market would probably be almost non-existent without the iPad line....??

My iPads (M1 Air and 9th gen) far more useful to me than my iPhone but even a 2 year old M1 Air (with a 4yo Processor) is over-powered for the average user. It's only been 4 or so years since Apple Silicon and Macs are already getting a solid reputation for performance over time. Original M1 base models are still very capable machines. IMO the industry will follow Apple's lead and make smaller, more efficient models ...and eventually tablets and PCs will merge....

This phone will probably be the best flagship avaliable in my country this year, since Samsung S25 line was the most boring thing ever. Oppo really nailed on this.

A tablet like the S9 series and S10 series are great for remote streaming from a main computer. It great as a drawing tablet, its IP68 so you can use the main computer outdoors in rough conditions or in the bath/hot tub. You get the full power of your desktop anywhere in your house (provided you have good networking setup) in a silent, semi-light, untethered device, at 120hz and OLED to boot.

I HATE kickstarter based content. I want to know what the price is BEFORE I start spending time reviewing web sites, online videos, etc. every time there is a Kickstarter review and I go to the site to see how much it costs, I waste so much time trying to find the pricing info. Even clicking on the BUY NOW button does not show me the price. If you haven’t tried to see what the price is for this device, I challenge you to try to find out and then let us all know how long it took you to figure it out.

if i could point to one “ real physical product” Vuzix z100 is what i would think apple glasses could look like if oir when they come to market, the style of glasses used, the type of display they might use, and the aesthetics that people would be comfortable enough to wear publicly…. my x2 i love but theyre big & heavy my vuzix blade allows me to watch movies thru a sd with far superior quality to rayneo x2’s but they look like oakleys with a slight tint which is kinda weird to wear inside but doesnt block the siun enough for full outside use, and isnt really a full finished product, no gps, sideload apks but the ratio of them working is like 10:2 i tried ordering a pair of z100 but they said they couldnt ship to where i live which is in the states.

Since we already in folding screen era (now with trifold by Huawei). We have seen many iteration from folding smartphone, to folding laptop (lenovo), to folding monitor but never a folding tablet. Turning small tablet into larger tablet. Closest thing we can get in Surface Duo and canceled Surface Neo

So, since it has ethernet, can't you just connect your phone or laptop to it like as if you're hardwired to a regular NAS and do things like edit video or transfer files that way? I get that it won't now over usb without partitioning it differently. But I winder if using ethernet to ethernet or ethernet to usb c would solve that problem with it? Anyways, fantastic video as always! And I love the final entries on the thumbnail lol

For me, I want my computers (windows, Mac and Linux) to be at par with my phones, tablets and laptops. My circumstances will then dictate which gadget I will utilize during specific situations. If they are all comparable in features and power, than I will have better alternatives for each situation.

This would be such a good way to do local backups for remote teams or create local portable mini mirrors when teams go to remove places. My company has one server and if I ever had to go across the world file access would be a nightmare

This review was published early for Patrons and in 4K on my Patreon! www.patreon.com/posts/unifydrive-ut2-120471908 Unfortunately, for how rough it's been on KZbin lately, I'll likely only be fielding comments, replies, and questions on Patreon and my Private discord moving forward. I wish YT was supporting creators better, but it's getting pretty bad on this side of the content street. I hope folks will consider joining those communities and spending time on the platforms that help us out a bit more.

Similar to a guy below, this laptop's going for $379 Canadian buckaroos right now. With slightly more beefed up specs than this one. And remember it's CAD, so USD would be even cheaper. For that price, I don't think you should complain even if it had malware. Just yank the drive out and do your own fresh install of Windows. Seems like this laptop sells _de facto_ for $300-400. BTW, been watching you since the PocketNow days, can't believe I haven't subbed to you yet (just did).

I've had the Atlas since November 30 and I love it. Every day I look at the beautiful male jewelry on my wrist. Smartwatches like the Samsung, but also the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro do not have a masculine appearance. I walked with an inexpensive Xiaomi mi band for a while, but I wanted something different, bigger, with a long battery life. I already had a ticwatch in mind since version 3. I was able to add Google Assistant v2.8 myself (using youtube) and now it's almost perfect. I would like to be able to adjust the ULP (2nd) screen as well, such as changing the battery life in percentages instead of a circle, and the pedometer could be a little bigger (because the eyes don't get any younger). But for the rest I am very happy with it. I hope I can enjoy the Atlas for a long time to come.

I bought a modified version of the USB-C G8+ that allows it to extend further and have been using it with my giant Galaxy Tab S7+ and it is the perfect handheld gaming experience. I wish they would allow it to extend further by default, because I find myself playing more on the giant tablet than my gaming-dedicated Legion Go handheld.

GameSir seem to have it built in this time around. Just got to give it a little bend and it pops out. I've also found 3D printed pieces to add so that it holds it at that extended length without the spring visible. Seems to be a good solution for bigger tablets. It also has smaller wedges for phones to extend beyond the camera bump making it fit all phones.

@ The good: they display on both eyes, in field of view. Magnesium frame and sleek (almost apple-like) design, makes them light weight and durable. On the software side they are open source and also OpenOS-compatible which makes them (potentially) some what ”future proof”. The bad: controls are a bit clunky and takes some time to get used to (hopefully that will be addressed in later iterations). It doesn’t have proactive AI straight out the box (might turn some people off given expectations in todays market). And yes, they are ridiculously expensive. Halliday is a great entry point given the cost/usability-ratio, that has the potential to widen the user base for wearables which is awesome. But if money isn’t an option, I sincerely believe AG1’s are the ones to beat until Meta releases their consumer version of Orion (Especially if you already wear glasses on the daily).

i use a tablet for pitching movies and stuff. I mainly only grab a tablet to draw storyboards and rarely watch films on it. I think I would use a tablet on set much more if it could have hdmi (no workaround adapters, just hdmi) would be even neater if i could dual window the monitor with notes or storyboards. As it stands though, a quote from an article about the first ipad pro from back in the day sticks in my head "too cumbersome to be a tablet and too weak to be a laptop". The new ipad mini seems the right size to me, but it could be easily replaced by a foldable

I signed up for the early bird but going to wait till v2 comes out. I’m sure they will improve a lot over time. I’m not a fan of an all green display and think this will evolve. Having all pixels in one color was probably because of pixel density needed for such a small display. They won’t work if you forget your phone since all the magic is done over BLE from what I understand. There is very little tech in the glasses alone, the magic is done on your phone.
