Ive never been super jazzed about a lot of 4 cylinder engines, but I've always loved these engines. I wish I could find a first gen mr2 to put a built one in, with a bigger turbo and some fatter tyres and a different tune, maybe like 350lbft and 400hp, keep the torque curve smooth as possible, that'd be sex for me lmao.

@@anthonye3680 we make the full swap kit. And you use the 1.9TDI PD engine, A PD130 or PD150 from a Golf/Leon/A3/whatever is ideal, uses the same mounts, shafts, etc etc as the 1.8T kit so fits straight in. There's videos of a 1.9tdi swapped one on my channel

Super cool swap! Out of interest with the fitler there do you reckon any issues if its raining heavy? Could get water in the filter possibly?

No, that’s why it faces vertically down so it can’t get water in. Thomas originally had it kinda diagonal but didn’t like it for heavy rain so while it was likely fine, he changed the position so now zero issue.

Far cheaper to buy, far cheaper to tune, stronger gearbox, far more tuning parts available, stronger block, easier to fit, and so on.

LOL. Are you blind as well as a shit talker? 60-130mph in 6.8sec it clearly shows. So Unless your imaginary car is 3.3sec or faster 0-60 then my shit is at least as fast as yours 60-130, so I'd pipe down if I was you.

I respect the swap a lot but at the same time the stock gen 3 or 4 3sgte would blow this motor out of the water in terms of value for money

Prices must be wildly different in your country to here for that to be even slightly true. My engine which makes 514 horsepower cost me about £1000 all in

With the market as it is in the states because of of Biden there’s hardly that much of a difference nowadays prices are sky high overall

@@jesusramos-my2qr I just quickly checked eBay USA. A 1.8T complete engine is about 600 dollars. More than here, but not lots. A complete 3sgte is about 2500. And a set of cheap rods and the bottom end of these otherwise stock like mine holds 500+ horse on normal pump fuel. Nobody fits 3s to these for a reason, and the reason is they’re nowhere near the best option regardless of country.
