Great stuff, looking forward to seeing it with the sideskirts on too.

Thanks, yes hoping to incorporate them into the aero package too.

Nice build mate ! The 2zzge is great engine! I know people who runs with unopened engine with 200.000+ kms gtx2867 370hp 100% stock internals and gearbox. have only oil pump/pan and this is not necessary if the redline is up to 8.500rpm

Cheers buddy, got to work with what I've got! 😉

Love the mrs ❤️ its often passed over/ forgotten. Id say the chassis is a masterpiece. Lets not forget the engine though! Toyota builds the canvas and you paint whatever you can dream. Damn in glad the GR Racing replaced trd and kept the spirit alive.

Never got the engine it deserved straight from the factory.

Haha I used to have a 240SX with a Turbo that sounded just like that but louder, I always wanted one of those whistling blow off valves but never knew what brand they were.

Hiya, dream little car. What are the boots you've got on them side air intakes behind doors?

Beauty! Whats the sun visor strip you have on it please? Im looking for one the same and also the oil pressure and temp set( sits very nicely on there)? Thanks
@Justaddboost2 жыл бұрын
Cheers buddy, sun strip is just an eBay special 12" matte black and cut to size. I'll dig out the info on the gauges👍

How comes you're running such a small turbo? Seems excessively small and must make a lot of torque fairly low, which would worry me on the stock rods.
@Justaddboost Жыл бұрын
It was my old turbo set up from my 1zz turbo that I transferred over to get up and running. Now running a fully forged low comp 2zz with a Holset HX32.
@zokusharuuku10912 жыл бұрын
What transmission are you planning on using for that sort of power? You’re also going to need a larger turbo than that to make that sort of power.
@Justaddboost2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking, plan is to try and keep torque low for the time being. But I do have a lotus Evora gearbox, which I'm in the middle of making a bell housing adapter for. Turbo wise I have a Holset HX32 to go on which should be good for around 450-500.

How much hp
@Justaddboost Жыл бұрын
On this old set up I'd say around 280-300, never got it to a Dyno though. Ran out for turbo efficiency.
@ModorFix2 жыл бұрын
Looks very quick that Gary. Good way to keep it in lift lol! Are you planning to get it on a dyno once you have the tune roughly where you want it?
@Justaddboost2 жыл бұрын
Plan is to Dyno once I've got the Vvti map sorted. (I keep fiddling!) But yeah, lift set at 5.6k with a 8.2k redline means it doesn't drop out 😜
@lordnggamermtpoppy38292 жыл бұрын
so you are runing on a oem internal parts with a turbo? are you insane ?
@Justaddboost2 жыл бұрын
2zz engines are quite happy upto around 300bhp with standard internals.

@@Justaddboost 300bhp will blow up the c60

@@lordnggamermtpoppy3829 torque kills gearboxes not bhp, careful tuning of the VVt to limit torque at mid range and it's fine. (On the limit but fine;)) 250-270lb fts seems to be the supposed limit.

that vacuum block is Utulisding every port, doesn't it matter that you need clean references for map and fpr sensors
@Justaddboost2 жыл бұрын
Map sensor has its own port, fpr does not run a reference I've just used it to bump the standard pressure up to 55psi. The other ports are either looped (didn't have enough bungs) or is for the boost gauge or brake booster. 👍
