Audi 80 B4 gets new Rear Shocks

My 1994 Audi 80 2.3e was still running the original shock absorbers. I started to notice the back of the car was a bit floaty, so I set about replacing the shocks with nice new Bilstein ones from Rockauto. This is how replacing them went.

Love your channel mate. Almost got my license and I have an Audi 80 B4 1992, FWD 2.3E in mind as my first car. Im very enthousiastic on Audi's and this model especially, so I love to see you working on one!

it has the same rear strut design as a Oldsmobile alero . interesting design .

This is the updated design on the B4. The B3 had a panhard rod and the fuel tank was in the boot. The updated design allowed the fuel tank to go under the car and made way for split fold seats. I'm not an Audi geek at all 🤣🤣

Great to see more essential maintainace to the fleet. Shocks and suspension deteriate so slowly that you don't realise how bad things were until you swop it all out for new parts. I'm amazed at how corrosion free it was on your Audi. Here in the U.K a car half it's age would be hard work to disassemble just due to copious amounts of rust. Regards David in the U.K.

Nice design, better than messing around in the boot for the top mount, and clocking the shocks to the mounts like on a b5.
