I’m new to all this car stuff so I’m trying to learn, but I’m missing one of those bolts that hold down the fuel rail, could u tell me what it’s called so I can go grab one?

M6 x 1.0 Thread. 1.25" long. But to be completely honest, *In My Opinion*, you might be better off getting something that is the same thread that has a 10mm head on it. The hex top bolts are not my favorite... they strip easy, they get filled with junk, they are harder to get out. A 10mm head bolt is way easier to deal with. So for example, something like a bolt from a BMW E46 fuel rail will probably bolt up to that fuel rail, but don't quote me on that. In addition, you can also call an Audi dealership, ask for "Parts" (not service). If you provide your VIN number to them, they will be able to tell you every single nut and bolt on the entire vehicle. You don't necessarily need to buy from an Audi dealership, honestly I wouldn't, but you can at least probe some information from them. Let me know if you need any more help. I was having issues with rough idling and bad misfiring but replaced two injectors and now everything is chill. All that's left is too figure out why my coolant is dropping and im overheating. Check my second most recent upload, this is also a vehicle I fixed a misfire on and this showcases one particular test to find the cause of what is triggering the misfire. A misfire can be caused by fuel, air, spark, electronics or lack there of. If you need help, just let me know.

Hey man. You can clean those things for free. Just inject some carb cleaner inside while applying 12v to the injector.

Can you help me out to understand, how is the injector 0280156065 (on this engine) labeled as EV12 injector while the 0280156061 injector (goes to BEX engine 190 hp) is labeled as EV6? They look the same and there is no difference in nozzle insertion between the two. Thanks in advance!

So I'm just going to tell you right off the hop that if you change the injector size on any engine you need to code in your dead time on your ECU. It's unavoidable and your car will not pulse on time and will cause misfires. So I'm not sure if this is your question in trying to put bigger injectors in the engine. This application will not work without tuning it into your ECU. Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding the question.

@@AllThingsQuick what I've found out digging through Bosch files and other injector related docs is that these injectors (ending with 065) that you pulled out from your engine, and that are also in my engine, are indeed EV6 and not EV12 like they're labeled throughout internet pages related to this matter. Yes, I want to change them for bigger ones (061) and I'm aware of the ECU recalibration in order for them to work, just wanted to check with someone else if there is an answer about their size. Looks like the answer is that someone labeled them as EV12 by mistake at some point in time and it went like that to every other page related to 1.8t mentioning injectors. Cheers!

It could also be a vaccume leak if it's failing to start. But also, your cylinders may be flooded.
