But the IS range has less cabin noise, better and I cannot stress thia but the interior of the IS in a different class than the German 3 The thing about the IS line is that it's a sport sedan by Lexus standards but isn't as sporty as the 3 series, C-class, A4 etc, so the appropriate name should be small executive class

I understand the mono-spec A4 2.0T (3.2 discontinued), but since the engine doesn't change from base to top-spec, you really expect more when you lay another $3000 more for the next level. In a 3 or C, another $3000-4000 will get you more toys plus a better engine. Doesn't sound too much of a bargain after a couple of options later. This is one reason I brought a Mercedes C350 in the first place.

@Demineralize Well, BMW 3 series in #3 in its class now, its not the best anymore. But you also have to know that 3 series is 5 years old now, C class and A4 are almost new. The best right now is Audi A4. I like C class, but its just not as big inside, not as quiet, and its not really built like you would expect from a mercedes. Interior feels a bit cheap compared to A4 and 3 series, it has the same plastic inside as the B class.

@pspslim Great that is all subjective. I can say a pinto is a nice ride, but that doesn't necessarily make it true. From experience, having driven both the IS250 and IS350 (which also happens to have stiffer suspension over the 250), the ride is harsh on even slightly bad roads. Again, I tell you to read the reviews for the Is, the ride nor space is whats being highly praised for that car.

@pspslim lol wrong. you've clearly never drove an is350 let alone any IS models. Of all the models Lexus provides, the IS line has not only the harshest ride, but falters at any crack in the road. Just read the reviews on the IS350. Small cabin space, wide spread cabin noise, engine ping, etc. The 335i, has a much smoother revving engine using a bi-6 (3/3) TT. of course, with a car like that, it has its faults too, most common being the fail fuel pump.

@yoelomar111 this isnt a 2011, they dont make the 3.2L in 2011. my point is that the 2 in the video are very comparable in speed, especially since the mercedes has a 3.5L and 250lb less weight, makes sense its .1 faster

This, like any other car choices, are market and consumer dependent. Here where I live i have to drive on a lot of gravel roads and in winter I need 4wheel drive. The Audi has the edge here where I can also service the car at a local VW dealer and not have to drive 400km to the nearest MB dealership. We dont get the 4wheel drive mercs here in SA so AUDI all the way. Also no interior noises yet with 98000kms, better than some friends mercs...

@Jamzkangster Actually I have driven the 2010 IS250 which is actually very smooth, comfortable, yes the rear is quite small but this car is very luxurious specially the interior (typical Lexus) the exterior is more subjective but I still prefer the styling of the IS over the 3 series, C-class and A4

The 2008 Audi A4 was my first car. To be honest, compared to the BMW 3 and C class. I would say the 3 is better in drive and comfort. Judging by my friend's 3 which is 2011 though. The C isn't as good as the A4 but if we compare the E against maybe the Audi A5 or A6 then the E is the definite win. Even against the BMW 5.

The rear wheel drive on the Mercedes makes all the difference for some folks, but I'd take the A4 Quattro any time over the Benz, Just because the long winters here. Both are very nice n likable cars with superb quality and distinct character.

The only BMW's I really like are the M series and the only Benz is that super big Sedan's shaped like coupes. Otherwise, they do nothing for me. Maybe because in LA they're as common as smog. But in all fairness, aren't crazy about exterior styling of Audi's above the S5 except for R8. A6 and A8 look booty.

in terms of driving quality and luxury= 1]bmw 2]mercedes 3]audi test-rided all of them they all are luxurious and powerful but truly the bimmer is the shit,the dream car for myself...and many others i know that have owned both a merc and an audi where looking for that much more and found it on a bmw... about the vid both cars are similarly good audi if youre more cautious or allergic to rwd and mercedes if you want to play its tail only a bit...

I'd like to see/feel the audi interior. The merc looks nice exterior wise and I like its engine especially with its low end torque. I really was not a fan of dash material, kinda feels and looks like pleather (plastic leather) it just did not feel right for me.

@kingkong0815 You cant compare S4 and 63 AMG. AMG is top of the line model, S4 isnt. RS4 can be compared to AMG. S4 is just a normal A4 with a little bit stronger engine and S line sports package.

No thank you for your valuable opinion, being expensive doesn't mean its better, plus you should compare prices in countries like Germany, you know, the country where theses cars come from.. you will learn that Mercedes is the most expensive by far and try to compare prices lets say for Audis in Europe like Gernany or France and with another country, let say the USA. @yoelomar111 the 2011 c350 is $50,600 for 268hp, for that money you can get an audi S4 with 333hp($52,000), Mercedes benz runs 6.3, audi S4 runs 0-60 in 5seconds, i agree both companies make great cars, BUUUT, mercedes is NOT faster for the money!

I respect both cars, I lvoe audi's, i love merc, i love german manufacturers. They are both great. Merc excels in performance, while audi excels in more of daily driving. The only negative thing about merc that i have is that They have taking out there 6.3L engines because they are paying 26-28 million dollars a year on CO2 taxes.

BMW definitely has the ergonomic cabin, performance, handling, and overall driving experience over MB...while Benz has quality, fit and finish, and much more solid chassis than the BMW. It really depends on what you're looking for. When it comes to supreme Luxury ride, nothing beats MB S class (LOL @ Lexus LS, get that shit outta here)....however when it comes to performance nothing really beats a M3 in it's class.

But for the exterior, I will still prefer the S-Class. :) I haven't look up for the interior. Maybe sometimes later. Audi R8 is fast, even though it horsepower is a bit low. Still, it's a nice car. We should quarrel about the same company which is the German. I can say Audi, Mercedes and BMW makes the best car in the world. :)

@pspslim no wonder, you've driven the 250 not the 350. 250 by the way is awfully...painfully slow. The interior is clean and nice, but that car has widespread cabin noise and major major engine ping. Not to mention electric assisted steering. It reminds me of like the newer designed TSX, except more rattly. No road connection whatsoever....That is a chicks car.

Just because VW is made in Mexico, doesn't mean Audis are made in Mexico. Do you think Porsche and Lamborghinis are made in Mexico as well? My point, which you still fail to logically dispute, is regardless of where one brand of car comes from... does not necessarily mean another brand comes from it, because it has the same parenting company. Ford owns Mazda & many Mazdas are made on US soil. The new USDM Mazda6 is made at Ford plants, but the JDM is made in Japan, hence the 2 different designs

The IS350 is silky smooth, there is very little cabin noise compared to BMW, Audi and Benz which all 3 have louder cabin noise, stiffer ride and also better handling than the Lexus IS350 But the quality of the Lexus IS just by looking and feeling the inside and out is better than 3 series, C-class and A4, better overall fit and finish

audi will beat merc in a track race for one reason audi can take turns even if its not as powerful, the merc might rape in the straightaway but if that puts u to a wall in a turn whats the point of the power if u cant use it to its full potential coming to my final point bmw is the best mix of both it has power more then audi and can actually go through the turn using that power so winner bmw!
