Audi a4 3rd brake light replacement

OMG, thank you, I've been trying to find instructions for this for a while! I tried to pull the cover off a few weeks ago but gave up. I've come to learn to not pull too hard on things in Audis for fear of braking plastic pieces, but sounds like this is an exception.

The cover came off very easily on my car. I held each side as close to the window as possible and pulled gently toward me. The rest of the replacement was very easy thanks to this video. Many thanks!!

Thanks for making the video. Just had a bulb gone bad and wondering how to approach it. After you have removed it, did you study how the cover was attached to the fixture? Was there a clips, tabs, groove? How did you go about putting it back together? Seems a pain to change the buld, wonder have any one tried LED bulb instead.

I haven't heard of any issues with people breaking the cover off. Maybe you have a different type?
