Audi A4 B7 cabrio door trim removal

This is an awesome demonstration and believe it or not the only one on youtube! Thank you! I would suggest one thing, add some tags or change the title to say B7 Cabrio door trim removal or something to that effect as it is pertinent to all B7 body styles, S4, RS4 etc. Curious what you removed it for? I need to remove mine to replace that crappy speaker grill cover that breaks from people using their foot to open the door. Audi Plastic welds them in, so it has to be drilled out, then plastic weld a replacement on. Not looking forward to it. Thanks again for your video. Helped me greatly!

you don't need that flat screw driver to remove the window switch. just pull it backwards and it will pop out

The drivers side window switch you seemed to remove with no resistance, is it really that easy?

Nope! It's very hard to remove if it's the first time. Please please cover your scew driver with tissue otherwise you will scratch the plastic! Even a plastic prying tool will scratch it!

@@InvisibleYetVisible I had the exact same challenge yesterday. To be honest, it's because it is. However follow the below and it will work. You'll need about 2 or 3 prying tools. (plastic preferably). Then you wanna poke your tool at the side of the window switch. Another at the back and another at the front. Then with a firm movement, pop if up and back. It sounds like it's breaking but it's just the switch separating from the door rest. You must pop if back and up as that's where the tabs of the switch follow. Any other direction and you could break them. Hope this helps.
