This is the first time i´ve ever heard matt mention that mercedes is better at something than audi or bmw. I´ve been driving a C250 CDI 4MATIC estate now for a year and I am very happy with it. Goes like a train on motorways and handles superbly on smaller roads. The engine is also quieter on idle than the audi a4 2.0 TDI or bmw 320d.

One thing I like about this car is the 1900KG braked towing capacity! The BMW 3 Series can only tow 1800KG braked. BUT the Audi A6 Allroad can tow 2500KG braked that is 500KG better than a Land Rover Freelander!!! It also had air suspension and electric deployable tow bar!!! With a 4WD drivetrain!!!

the Diesel 3.0 V6 is a 'Monster' of an engine too - very fast and 500nm of torque . . . . . plus low road tax and 50-58mpg (and cheap servicing too) Love my 2014 Quattro - and will keep it, till the wheels fall-off

My dad has had 3 Audis as Business Cars so far and none of them every had any major problems, if at all. And all of them had run about ~ 180.000 km in 3 or 4 years. The last one had an engine breakdown but that was his very own fault for not taking it to a workshop when the cooling system had a leak and was missing pressure. But that leak again wasn't really the car's fault, think it was an animal but im not sure anymore. Thing is he didnt want to have the trouble as the car was issued for an inspection in the "next 2000-4000 km anyway"...

This car is amazing.It handles great and have great balance trough the corners.Maybe its not that fun like the bmwseries but have many other things that are better. The interior quality is better and is very stylish especially if you have wood and navigation with so many buttons. You have more space then in the 3 series or mercedes c class. The ride is harsh on bad road especially if you have 17'' wheels and sport suspension. You will feel every bump that you passed.Thats the only negative side

Their miles and gallons are larger than ours. If you ignore the fact that the tests are conducted differently (our test deals with American conditions and they have a European test), 61 imperial mpg=50 american mpg. Again, though, the test is conducted to reflect European driving conditions which apparently allow greater efficiency. Neither hit the mark but they do create a difference. That, and it is a diesel, which implies efficiency.

Those stats are true, however even though total precipitations are higher in Rome for example (where I've lived for most of my life) they're concentrated in less days, so it's not drizzling every single day as in London (I prefer heavy rain, and then a week of sun). And actually the real difference is that even when it's not raining it's cloudy so everything stays wet.

On the note of flat folding rear seat - in Australia, our antiquated child safety standard that refused the adoption of ISOFIX system means it mandates all car manufacturers to mount the unsightly and protruding child seat anchor at the back of the seat, so you can't push heavy item to slide over the back of the folded car seat and had to struggle to lift the thing up and hope that any heavy item will not break the child anchor plastic cover.
@iamnotfalling11 жыл бұрын
Well actually not really, the car is quit long so driving it without much experience could cause troubles. I recommend you getting an audi a3 sportsback. its also an estate but a little but smaller. @louiloui47075 жыл бұрын
Ioanides001 wow u r actually the definition of a bmw fanboy. I doubly u have driven all Audi models as well as all bmw models to be definite. I haven’t either but just how some bmw models r better than some Audi’s the opposite can also be said. Trust me there are plenty of garbage bmw out there and I’ve driven some and I know. U have probably only driven an older module Audi or a different one cos the one shown I have driven and is not as bad as it sounds.
@shree71112 жыл бұрын
True. That's only because people stupidly think of it as a bad car. Although a recent test showed that it depreciated the same amount as a Mercedes C-Class.
@dunti2112 жыл бұрын
They don't contribute much when the car is off, but the LEDs are what gives the car it's design. You can distinguish it as an Audi from far away just because of these. I think you're on your own with your opinion about the A8s lights there :-P

@mazinais3112 жыл бұрын
haven't driven this one.. sorry, but just by reading reviews and looking it's clear to me it's a superior car, there are downsides to the longitudinal engine placement - you get a longer hood and shorter interior basically but at the same time the car is better proportioned and has better dynamics on the road... looks better too, i think it comes down to whatever each individual prefers -if you don't care about such things the skoda superb is a excellent car -it's a passat stretched even further
@MrBluedanube10 жыл бұрын
does the diesel version really give you 61 mpg? Is that true??? Or did he mean kilometers per gallon?? 61 MPG is absolutely crazy excellent!
@zerocool80110 жыл бұрын
Yes that is true! But it depends on your driving style since these engines have a lot of torque you get carried away accelerating like an idiot.
@MrBluedanube10 жыл бұрын
How is it that the highest diesel jetta gets is 40-something mpg, but the A4 gets you 61? If its indeed true, its very impressive.
@zerocool80110 жыл бұрын
1) - UK gallons are bigger than US gallons: 1 UK Imperial Gallon = 4.55 litres 1 US Liquid Gallon = 3.79 litres 2) - UK mpg figures will be calculated using the EU's methods, the US mpg figures will be calculated using the EPS's methods. They are different, and the different cycles (Urban, Extra-Urban and Combined for the EU, City and Highway for the EPA) don't directly compare.

Can someone tell me what's the difference between standard and premium cars (except for the badge and price)? What, besides the brand, makes them more expensive? I know only that Audi A4 has longitudinally built engine, while the Passat and other cars from the segment have it crosswise. Other than that, what is stuff that makes a car premium? Besides, many standard brands now have very good quality materials, and are well built, so why should one buy a premium car?

It's ignorance and jealousy; most of the haters have never owned an Audi. Audi's are far from boring, as a matter of fact they are among the best cars for personalizing. I'm not talking about "ricing" out a car with cheap add-on’s but having the ability to significantly improve on the stock performance as well as customizing the looks. Google "custom Audi A4" and view photos of all the ways a personal statement can be made with these reliable, safe and classy cars. That said, haters gonna hate!

let's put that into perspective: for nearly the same money you can buy a entry level mercedes csl 350 OR for the same money you can have something like a vauxhall vxr8 with a v8 with over 400hp good for 155 mph, got a big boot and space for 5 people.. essentially buying a stock audi or a bmw or even a merc gives you a fully stock car, everything else is an extra and at a hair rising price. its just not worth it imo.
