Does it drone? Yes it does drone at the 1800-2000 range. My recommendation is to fiddle with Dynamic Mode and the sport shifting and you will find the sweet spot. I love it!

How long did u have the car for if u don’t mind me asking and , what issues started to happen before the knock ?

@@anthonyg1720 hi I had it since 20k miles. It was dealer serviced its whole life right up to 74k miles. (4k passed the extended warranty). The chains would rattle upon start, they have since new. This time the chains never stopped rattling.. Plastic got into mechanics pass the oil filter.. Show over. Literally zero warning, since and I'm obsessed with cars and listen for every rattle, tick or knock I would have picked up on it. Here's the thing even if the chains didn't fail the car needed - - Motor mounts Pcv Control arms Thermostat Waterpump Those things alone - $5500 - 6000 at a shop. These cars will cost you $10s of thousands as the second owner to properly maintain one. Now I'm the owner of a beautiful 2022 ES Lexus am thrilled with it.

Had dual pulley, stage 2 tune with carbon intake..... it blew up with 60k miles.

hey about that bora vr6 clip, is that a 12v? also what mufflers where still there and what magnaflow muffler was used? trying to piece together something for my own vr6. sounds good!

It is a 24v. The resonator was removed and a magnaflow muffler was added the muffler is 2.25in. The same size as stock.

Resonators up front then suitcase then mufflers. I only took out the last muffler

Pretty droney but use the paddles and the drone is minimal. Sorry I don't plan on doing a video inside. It's not easy to set up the audio in a way you can tell the difference.

I had both res and mufflers deleted for 2 days max and put my mufflers back on, but I have always been curious to hear what the car sounds like with just the mufflers deleted

@@ernestdjr I’m exactly going trough the same thing as you! I’m a die hard Bimmer guy and had 3 bimmers and was looking at a N55 535i as my next car. The only downside is that these N55 suffer from oil starvation by itself which then damages the rod bearings and toasts the engine. It’s way more common then you think too. So for that reason I was thinking of getting a A6 3.0T to switch thing up and they’re way more reliable overall. Still not sure though lol

At 70K now and it has been perfect. I have stage 2 single pulley only had to do oil changes, tires. Due for trans flush, plugs and could but that's not unusual for cars. Love it

@@zyrofillic timing chain, motor mounts, pcv, waterpump, thermostat.... 1500 just for all the nuts and bolts. I unloaded the financial disaster and bought a Lexus. The car essentially ruined even after all that work. More had rod knock from plastic shedding in the chain guides. 74k miles she was gone

Resonator delete for less drone. However if you put it in manual mode (with gear selector) you will have very little drone. I love this mufflerless setup.

@@RoseCityCarCulture Went stright-pipe route, man the sound is V12’ish :D BTW RoW/EU A5’s came with a 3.0 and 7 speed DSG, just slightly untuned with 270 instead of 333. It’s not available for the US market, I order from the US all the time as an S5 even though it’s an A5s.
