Here Are 10 Things You may Not know about My 2013 A8 W12.....1. It's the most Boring 12C ever., and I've Had All of them. 2. It's Lazy Off the Line. 3. The Useless, Unnecessary 8spd is Awful at Shifting during kick-downs and Gives a Kick in the Ass during abrupt Stops or Slowdowns. 4. The Body/Chassis Shakes and Quivers over Rough Patches and sharp Speed bumps, Despite Audi Claim of 38.230nm/deg Torsional Rigidity. 5. There are myriad of Rattles/squeaks in the interior only after 24k. 6. There is No Noticeable Contrast between Sport/Comfort mode in Ride Quality OR Handling. 7. The Front End Creaks from New...Horrendously in the Winter. 8. The w12 is Not as Smooth as REAL v12s like in my s600, 65 and 760li cars I've had. 9. The 20" Pirellis are Loud and Rough. It's an Astonishing 77" Wide(One in Wider than a 1990-1997 Town Car making cutting through NYC traffic and Double parked Assholes a terrifying Nightmare ! That's it think?? Oh. Why Do I keep it? Even though the Ride is Not as Compliant as I expect from a 4800lb land yacht.....it has the Pillowest Ride from Any Sedan I've had including a 09' Arnage I had for 9yrs!

@@highwaystar3780 interesting that this has been your experience. In particular that you find it sluggish as that’s one of the strong points of the 6.3 W12 AND the 8-speed (which is heralded as the best auto transmission to date). I do wonder if your car has ever had a carbon cleaning, with such low miles for the year I have to assume it’s pretty much only seen short trips and the first gen FSI W12 didn’t have dual injection so buildup must be cleaned. In the realm of acceleration off the line in terms of other 12 cylinder sedans I would say hands-down the 6.3 shames the first gen Flying Spur, certainly the Phaeton and the D3 W12 that preceded it, definitely quicker off the mark than the F01 760iL (which I think is a poor driving luxury flagship) and I actually had a W221 S65 and found that it was rather dull outside of boost, my SL65 as well (though that car was otherwise a work of art). The 6.3 hammers the W221 and W222 S600 and ties the W222 S65 in acceleration testing so I truly have to say something is amiss if you’re finding it lagging. For the ride quality if you haven’t replaced the rubber bushings then after over a decade it’s time to do so, the car has been sitting on those bushings it’s whole life and is robbing you of a comfortable ride. 6) if you don’t have the sport package which was no longer standard in 2013 then you do not have the sport dampers and dynamic mode will do little, sport package gives you dynamic steering rack, torque vectoring rear diff and sport dampers 7) it’s the control arm link bushings, 20 minute fix 9) the P Zero Neros are garbage tires and the PZ4 with PNCS is a massive upgrade, moving to 275/40/20 tires gives a much wider choice of models It’s a flawed and imperfect car but I think the attributes you assign are indicative of an underlying issue or two

@fourings Interesting take. I actually praised the Ride Quality, and the front End seems to be tolerating and soaking up imperfections pretty well, especially when compared to my AMG cars which ...mind you were Brand New. I think you conflate my quibbles about body shake with suspension issues. Sorry but as far as transmission goes, the Prehistoric 5spd in those Other cars including the ZF in my 97' and 01' 750iL were way Superior...to Me! I have tried my best to love this car for past 9 months but it's just lame. I can't hear the Engine, the Tyranny is Not seamless as it should be....the car has No Soul. Or maybe I'm just Old Now? My AMGs and my 03' s600 were very exciting to drive. It's funny how you sum it up by calling it a flawed car...but Don't point out Any flaws!

I see what you mean now, lack of reading comprehension :) Of course driving a car is going to be subjective. But objectively the D4 W12 stacks up strongly. I had a 2003 CL600, I really liked the car. Exciting? That’s not something I would call it. If you want to talk about flaws then maybe I’ll make a video about it Maybe you should modify your exhaust so you can hear it better. The induction noise already has a great snarl

What years are included for the D4 A8? Thanks
@fourings Жыл бұрын
In Europe the D4 began in 2010 and ended in 2017, in North America it was 2011 to 2018. The W12 ran from 2012-2016 here, not sure about Europe

@marcin1069 thank you for watching and thank you for the compliment :) you will have a very very hard time finding a facelift in the US. Also most of the well optioned ones are found in Europe, many of the very cool options weren’t available here like seat back tables, parking heater, bar compartment, heated/IR windshield, carbon brakes and others. Good luck in your search!
