Instead of tapping the gas if cruise control disengages at a stop, you can also pull the cruise stalk towards you and the car will go, as well.

That's great to know! Thanks so much and I will make sure to try that out.

TJA only works up to 40 mph and it combines the Stop and Go function of the ACC with Lane Keep Assist to keep the car centered in the lane, so it's essentially a Level 2 Autonomous driving experience.
@kyle.5552 жыл бұрын
So basically, it looks like an ACC feature for me. What's the difference between this "traffice jam assist" and "ACC"?

Nice, but how is this different than the adaptive CC? Since ACC is given as standard, but you have to pay for this feature..
@Ken-Hung Жыл бұрын
Typically ACC is just distance sensing with no lane keeping/steering assist. However I think most of the newer Audis, if it comes with ACC, then TJA is already included

Quick question do you think it was worth it going with the sq5 over the q5? I bought my wife a 2020 q5 because of the gas mileage and I heard the 2.0 4 cylinder is more reliable than the 3.0 v6. Have you had any issues with yours?
@midtenn_life10 ай бұрын
Depends on what you’re using it for. I knew I was going to modify mine and it was a better platform than the Q5 to do so. The 3.0 from the SQ is very solid. When I had it I could easily get 25+ mpg on my commute.

Nice video mate, I would like to know how to set the road speed limit on the heads up display or it comes only with the ones who has the driving assist package? Thank you, our one is an SQ5 2018 prestige btw, thank you 👍🏻

Sorry for the late reply. what do you mean by set the road speed on the HUD? The HUD has very limited info on it, one thing that I don't like. It should have more info and configuration abilities.

@@midtenn_life no worries, Thank you for the reply, i agree it should come with more time info, you know I have seen some videos of the same SQ5 that the HUD has the speed you are on and next to it it has the speed limit sign so you can see both on the HUD

Do you know if steering at low speed (as per the last few seconds of your video) is default on a 2018 a7 with tour pack, or is this specifically 'traffic jam assist'? If so how would you know if the vehicle has traffic jam assist? Any help greatly appreciated as I'm hoping to purchase tomorrow and the dealer (not audi) can't provide clarity at the moment.
@midtenn_life Жыл бұрын
I am pretty sure that if the car has driver assistance package it probably does. It is just the lane departure function. I have a buddy with a ‘18 Q7 prestige and he has it. I also think that if what you are picking up has the radars in front (the parts on the front bumper that looks like fog lights) it probably has it. You can also look in the glovebox for the owners manual, sometimes people fold up the window sticker and put it in there. Hope this helps.
@SUBTUBESCENT Жыл бұрын
@@midtenn_life thanks for the speedy reply Lance. I know the car has adaptive and lane assist. The indicator stalk has the button you mention (with a symbol of car and 2 arrows either side). The front grille has 2 square objects either side of the registration plate, but no circular objects lower down (presume this is the fog light type things you mention). There's a trapezoidal cam on the rear view mirror, too...

Is lane assist turned off? I thought you needed lane assist activated to enable traffic jam assist
@midtenn_life2 жыл бұрын
No, not from my understanding and not from how it works. lane assist just helps keep it in the lane, so it works like it would if it was turned on without TJA active.

Ya know, I think it is funny how we think technology is so cool and how we would use it all the time. While I do like this feature I don't find myself using that often. The braking can be kind of abrupt at times and it makes you look like you are slamming on your brakes to the people behind you.

How to have remote start in this stupid car which has everything but remote start
@neu2229 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, no way to do that. The third-party remote start system could only work with this car if you left one key in the vehicle because of the immobilizer, which is absolutely insecure. Regarding the factory option - I've never heard about that in the USA, but you could have it in Germany.
