I tapped into vent wheel lighting circuit for the dimmer wire. Dimming is misleading as there are two modes, bright and dim.... nothing in between like a rheostat.

Good to know! I've found it's pretty simple to just hold the button and dim it when I want it dimmed than to mess with my wiring back there.

Nice Video, long overdue for the C7. You ever hook up the dimmer wire? If so what wire did you tap into?

You know, the longer I thought about it the more I swayed away from hooking up the dimmer wire. The main reason for that is because these cars have auto lights with a light sensor, and I really didn't want to mess with that wiring. On top of that, it's really easy to just hold down the button on the right for a couple seconds and dim it when I need to. So, for me, the dimmer wire was not necessary or worth the trouble.
