Thank you for this review that has helped to convince me to go for the 50 rather than 55. It's not just about being able to afford the extra it's also whether you NEED the extra. I will maybe do 2 journeys per year that the 50 won't be able to do without stopping to charge somewhere. If I don't need an extra 24kWh of battery then why waste it.

Even worse as fuel is quick to fill up. I agree. These types of cars need real good range, otherwise I don't see the point. With all the money in the world and I could pick one EV, it would be the one with the best range and best charging network - aka the S100D or the M3 LR AWD :)

@R No, it doesn't . It works the same way as many modern cars with petrol and diesel - heaters. How long it will run depends on outside and cabin - temperature. From the e-tron manual: " Immediate start You can immediately switch the auxiliary climate control on and off using the l button. When this function is switched on, a colored bar lights up over the button and the remaining time is displayed. The auxiliary climate control will run for a maximum of 30 minutes after the immediate start. Timer programming You can set up to two timers for the departure time. Each one of the timers can be activated. ► Select one timer. ► Set the date and select Next. ► Set the time (departure time) and select OK. ► Activate the timer with m . By setting the departure time, you determine when your vehicle should reach the desired temperature. The departure time can be a maximum of six days in the future. And for those of you who don't know, speed limit is the maximum speed on a road with the best driving conditions. Wet and cold road can not have as good conditions as a dry and warm road. Driving on 79 km/h (as shown in the video) where speed limit is 80 km/h is not driving slowly. Even if the speedometer is a little bit off. On 80 km/h on the speedometer this Audi is probably on about 77 km/h. Please, relax Bjørn. Premium sound option plus realistic blinker sounds in Audi. Wurst car ever.

Is your Audi e-tron also asking for an oil change 😂👍 twitter.com/GeorgKonjovic/status/1218477211684163584?s=09

Yeah, we know what you mean, you mean quality, the one thing you don't get with Tesla.
@bjornnyland4 жыл бұрын
Incorrect. You get better quality in Tesla.

Better build quality? I doubt that. Efficiency is different from quality. Where is the better quality in Tesla? You don't have to soundproof Audi.

@@ivand911 The cabin interior and seems are just 10 to 20% of the vehicle. For BEVs, the software, the motors, the electronic control modules, battery control modules, cooling/heating systems, and of course the battery are all critical components. Failure to develop quality batteries (poor chemistry, bad cooling, innefiicient battery monitoring using old electronics with higher resistances) leads to lower efficiencies. Maybe not true for all Audis, but putting a pretty coat on what is an otherwise mediocre at best powertrain/battery is not something VAG should be proud of. The ID3 will probably be a lot better.
