I just put in a new MMI circuit board think that it would fix my issue. It turned on for a few min, couldn't get any sound to come out , I unhooked the battery for a few min and started it back up, the monitor came on had sound for 10 sec then it all shut off again. It keeps tuning on and then off. At first all the lights were on now they are off. I tore it all apart cleaned the circuit board off again , put everything back together and ended up with the same result!!

Hi. I'm from Australia. Ive got a parasitic draw on a Q7 2014. Thermal gun shows the unit which opens down SIM and SD CARD 1 and 2 is very warm at 40 Degrees Celsius and the little info screen is at 30 Degrees between the 2 round KM/H and Tacho when car is cold as stone. Has already killed the battery and I'm charging the new battery every night so it doesnt kill the new battery also - until i find out what's keeping these 2 units on when the car is sleeping !! Have you come across this odd parasitic draw before ? Any help would be amazing. Thanks

I'm from Poland with an A5 8T 2008 coupe S-Line model. My MMI has been freezing up at random. The sound still plays but it will reset itself and once it's "on" it freezes after 2-4 seconds. After that the only thing on the panel that works is the parking brake. I checked the wiring in the tunnel and it seems fine. Any idea what could be causing this? Any advice would be helpful as it's very hard to find someone over here that knows about MMIs.

You didn't diagnose anything of fix/repair its just a video of you blabbing

I fixed this prob by unplugging the power to the amp and reconnecting it. Never had an issue since

Hi when inputting a destination then the map comes up with the blue direction line it’s zoomed out in the sea but when I turn the knob to zoom in it won’t look like a sat nav should do it doesn’t look like a sat nav should it’s zoomed out to far. I have hard rest it but hasn’t solved the problem.

Hey if ya could help, my screen and audio buttons are off hazard light on climate lights are on checked all fuses with tester good its a audi a5 2010 2.0t quattro happened when alternator died had to jump 5 times to get off and turned off on me for ever so far lol

Interesting. My mmi has a fault.. Only my CD player doesn't work everything else is perfect. Diagnostics are €140 alone. Any way to repair myself? ☘️🇮🇪
