There have been a number of articles/videos about the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and its brake lights not coming on in specific circumstances. Does the Q4 avoid this issue?

Great No-Pro footage, thanks as always. Very good !! Shame we only have 1 reversing light and no sweeping indicators.

Yeah the single reverse light is pathetic 🤦♂️

@@edinreviews I passed an A2 with sweeping indicators yesterday, really peeves me they are such cheapskates. What are you looking to get next ??

@@timpaterson2872 I‘ve got this for another couple of years, but after that I was wonder about the A6 E-Tron🤔 Either that or the lwb ID Buzz with the excuse that it’s really practical🤔😂 What about you?

@@edinreviews there will be a Q6 coming around Xmas. Might look at that, assuming as an early adopter, we aren’t in the same position. I noticed that EVERY other Audi, including the Q8, has a rain gutter running up the windscreen.

@@edinreviews not sure, might look at the EV6…….

This would be interesting to test with my Q4 50 with paddles and predictive regen. I have noticed the lights occasionally come on during night-runs quite early with the predictive regen, around 2/5ths down the regen meter, other times as late as 2/3rds down. Mind you this being the 50, so I'm guessing the 0.3G of regen has something to do with it. (Over the 35/40's 0.15G max regen.)

Hi Edin, have you managed to have a route planner working simultaneously with Waze (via apple car play on the centre screen), while Audi’s own navigation displays on the virtual cockpit? I can’t figure this out. I set up a destination on Audi first and click start, then I enter the same destination on Waze, but as soon as I do this the Audi route planner stops. I’d like to have Waze on centre screen for traffic/speed camera alerts, and Audi nav in the virtual cockpit for the heads-up display prompts

I’ve tried with Apple Maps and Google Maps at the same time as having the Audi Nav running. It will only let you set a destination one at a time, as soon as you set a destination on a different one the route guidance you were already using is cancelled. You can display both maps but only one route unfortunately 🤔

My Q4 50 has the regen paddles with 3 "stages" of regen by pulling it (the regen disappears in D mode after you press on the accelerator). The stage 3 is close to B mode and I would assume triggers the brake lights, but I wonder if this is the same for the lighter Stage 1 and Stage 2.

I've found the brake lights do not come on ever in stage 1 or 2 until you touch the brake pedal. I feel those two levels of regen braking are no different than down-shifting in a standard transmission.

Thanks for sharing your experience. My Q4 is expected to arrive by September after a year’s wait. Perhaps it’ll be early?? I find your information very helpful and it’ll give me a leg up for when mine arrives. Thank you so much.
