Forgot to mention that the gearing is different on the V10+ compared to the regular V10. Would like to see a regular V10 tuned to the + power level vs a stock V10+ in a 1/4 mile. To see if there is a big effect in the gearing

I own a v10plus, that i service myself. Done everything mentioned using audi workshop manual, but i still watched the video with delight. Had no idea about the tool for gearbox. Will check to make sure i have it.

I have a 2021 V10 Quattro Coupe (Non Performance/plus) 560 hp stock and I have everything a plus Performance car has minus the ceramic brakes, carbon engine bay, and carbon splitter/side skirts, rear diffuser & the no carbon entry trim.. but my steering wheel has all the knobs and buttons/controls the Performance plus.. just a little point to add that the steering wheel isn't the tell all.. cheers and great video

Hello, yea we can help. It normally takes 2 hours to do a full inspection so £240 plus vat. You obviously just need to get the car to us.

Very informative video, I'm just about to switch from audi rs5 from 2020 to R8 2nd gen. 2016 , I'm full of fears before buying , I realize that R8 repairs generate more costs , it's good that there is someone who has partially explained some things , like checking the mileage , I'm wondering whether to look around for R8 plus with lasers and ceramic brakes , Should I settle for the version with 540 hp or can I count on help with the purchase as to the efficiency of the car in every respect?

Great review Gen2 Plus is definitely the more desirable version. Non plus is a harder resale.

I will argue that as since I had my Non Performance 21 Quattro.. I've had so many people ask me how I got one, there dealer wouldn't spec order them one.. the gen 2 refresh I have is a high spec and the transmission on the gen 2 refresh is much sharper then the original gen 2.. also lots of people don't want the big ticket carbon ceramic brakes.. I didn't have the choice when I found mine unsold new through a dealership but I also got it for 25K under msrp right as the market was going up.. a few Grand in a tune on my car and I will have Huracan Performante power and transmission upgrade as well. A true bargain vs the $40K-$50K price tag bump on a new Plus/Performance.. also the Quattro non plus Performance models are very rare to find on the 2nd hand market likely due to the limited numbers of production from Audi..

A questions about the exhaust valves. Would it be ok to force them to be closed at cat heating sometimes? For my neighbours. Is it ok for the engine and the cats? Will control it with an externa remote solution.

What ive allways wanted to know is The 2020 onwards model (facelift) They arent as loud, pops bangs etc. if you fit the same after market exhaust quicksilver for e.g on a 2018 vs 2021 model is the sound the same ? Or is the ecu mapped dif on the facelift types, will not be as loud as before If you remove the opf and fit a aftermarket exhaust is it as loud or not

No still not as loud as the cats are different as is the mapping. We also have to map the neutral rpm limit out. 2018-2019 pre facelift Gen 2 is the sweet spot imo!

Main implication I think is your exposed to a chocolate gearbox. They basically don’t like it and will break sooner and is expensive.

When you say you cannot convert these out of mag ride, can you elaborate? Europrice sells their audi sport 3-way coilovers with an additional emulation package to trick the system (I think), what are the downsides?

You can fit coil overs like Ohlins or KW. But you can’t convert them to passive like the Gen 1 as they never made a Gen 2 with passive suspension.

Not that I can afford any of it...but the fact that they didn't put that gated manual gearbox as an option in this one is darn shame ... because I love the interior of this one way more than teh Gen 1...but that gated shifter is much more fun ...especially compared to those plastic flippers ...and let's face it , no one is driving it like a racecar to get the optimal gearshifts

You don't need to use the paddles. Stick it in sport auto and that gearbox does it all spot on every time. You don't want a manual in something like this, less gears, longer gearing.

My Gen2 non plus had all four buttons on the steering wheel (also had audi performance exhaust from factory 😊).

You could spec the exhaust but never seen a 4 button version non plus, we retrofit them quite a bit. Do you still own it?

for you UK guys, how do you see the residuals/depreciation in say a r8 v10 plus 2016-2018 type car? Im looking at picking one up but the residual issue is my sticking point (coming from porsche, otherwise may just have to get into a boring .1 turbo s) you can get some nice choice around 80-85k£ for v10+
