Why is this argument on every single german car video or forum. Any bmw M is good, any AMG Mercedes is good and the Audi R8 is good. They are all awesome cars. These cars are made to go fast and make you feel good. If you choose any of them you have done well. Stop arguing and accept they are all great cars.

Not a big fan of Audis but this stands out. I watched NG Megafactories episode regarding R8. What was impressive was how well the body is build, plus the fact that 98% of what you buy is used in GT racing. I would buy one just for that.

The gen 1 looks so good even now in 2023, it looks more striking than the gen 2 in my opinion. Better lines, sleeker profile and full length side blades!! Ooh Yesssss!!😁💯👌🏾

Holy crap, XCAR. Definitely your best work yet. My only criticism is that the voiced-over one-liners part way through made the video feel a bit choppy. Would've preferred you stick to Alex's in-car bits. Seriously though, great shots, awesome music, excellent cuts, and fantastic analysis.

For me the benefit of the dsg auto is that it makes these cars viable daily drivers thus no need for 2 cars. Plus it kinda looks very Audi like and understated and I like that.

when i was a boy back in the early 90s i remember no one desire an Audi as they're the poor cousin of Mercedes & BMW. their boxy shape cars (the 90 & a4 etc) combine with quatto technology however always appeals to me somehow. how time has change.

You're right, we think it's weird too. When we had the the V8 R8 in it had a manual and it was amazing, granted it's not as fast round a track but really, who cares, right? Have a look at our video on the V8 R8 for some manual action!

This R8 looks awesome but with that many used R8’s in the market I don’t there is enough “new” in it to be worth selling. That’s the problem with making something good from the first time: you have to move forward but you don’t want to ruin what you already have. Thought job. I hope Audi knows what they are doing and won’t just change headlight design every few years :/
