The Porsche sport turismo, m5 and e63 are cool but the rs6 is a bad boys car ever since it was in the film layer cake. I think it has the most road presence of any car from the last few years. Absolutely awesome car

Mate Liparteliani yeah but it has no road presence and if ur an about a turbo ur gonna be paying £50,000 more and that's not worth that. Especially knowing race chip remap takes the rs6 to 740bhp for £600. So no it wouldn't eat it.

I own an RS6 performance and think you're conclusion on it being a family friendly car for the petrol head is spot on! I literally cant think think of a better car for my needs all year round. I don't use it everyday but I certainly wouldn't hesitate too. I think it looks great, super fast, practical, safe, reliable, all weather beast! and you're right again in what it loses in economy it makes up for in what it delivers as a package. It's not the greatest 'drivers' car ever produced, it's not intended to be, but it delivers exactly what I wanted from it and more, and I can slay a few Porsche's along the way haha!

James, this is my dream since I was 9 years old. Well, the RS6 platform in general. I am training skiing and as Audi is a general ski world sponsor, I see those around parking lots in ski resorts driven by famous skiers! This is really a car you can bring family to a ski holiday and have fun while driving those alpine roads to the ski lift! And you wont get stuck in snow! Quatrro is amazing! Thanks for the video! Really enjoyed it!

For me personally, The RS6 is perfect for me because I own a chocolate company which means I make all my own deliveries, some more trunk space and some horsepower is all I'd need to make my day infinitely better. Being honest James, I'd personally have the RS6 even above a 675LT, and I know that's blasphemous to say, but for me, in little Trinidad, having one of the fastest cars in the world doesn't really matter that much, but we do have rather nice highways and roads and more importantly, work loads, a big car with a massive trunk and a twin turbo V8 is sheer dreams. The RS6, E63 Wagon and the E60 M5 Touring is pure dreams, I'd have those cars over pretty much ANY supercar of today or tomorrow.

For me the RS6 is just so good looking inside and outside... Audi in general knows how to design the area you see most of the time: Dash and wheel make me always feel really comfortable in our A4. Also the sound of the RS6 is imo two personalities... on one side the slight growl when cruising and then the berzerker when hammering it into the rev limiter.

The Audi RS6 has a very selected market. It’s designed for the rich business man in Germany on the autobahn and can sit at High speeds and chew up miles whilst being in comfort. I think it pulls it off better than any other super wagon

I own an old 98 Audi A6 Avant 2.4 V6, it's a former MoD police car and has been tinkered with. But the enjoyment of driving her is amazing.... But I need the R6 Performance in my life... What a girl she is....

I have a major problem with James's channel. I think it's quite unfair how his content, delivery and editing have made all the other KZbinrs pretty much redundant. I like STG and I tolerate Salomondrin, (for now) but Mr JWW has effectively made the rest of KZbin motoring channels a waste of time. Aah well. I'll just have to spend my time re-watching old Mr JWW videos. Such is life.

James, I had a blue RS6 about an year ago, and I sold it because the streets here in Brazil are so narrow and full of potholes that I used it as a daily driver but I was always scared of getting the tires blown up by a pothole or hitting the wheels on a curb !!!! It is so wide and powerful that here I couldn't really enjoy it !!! So I definitely feel it's also about where you use the car. I visited the UK for the first time last June and I agree that for Europe it is just amazing, but I substituted it by a Macan Turbo Performance Package which has 440hp and it suits me so much better for daily usage here in Brazil. I know you can understand where I am coming from, because it is very subjective because I now use the Macan enjoying it much more with the same practicality or even more because I can go offroading on it for my windsurfing sessions !!! I own two Jack Russel Terriers and take them out on it all the time !!! And as far as power it has more then enough for where I live !!!! My second car, or the weekender is a MK2 Porsche GTS and I can't deny that I am much happier with the Macan then the RS6, but that's my personal opinion based on where I use the cars daily. I have the RS6 since March this year, best family car ever (mostly for the dads :D) Every time i overtake someone and i step hard on the gas, i see my kid in the back with a big smile on his face, even tho he's only 2 years old. The normal brakes on it are very good, used them hard on mountain roads and the stopping distance did not change at all. The only thing i hate on this car is the damn cup holder

Ever since I saw the CTSV wagon I fell in love with Wagons. I saw a murdered out RS6 and was blown away by it. But, $250k is a huge price for a wagon. In my opinion at least. Beautiful all around and I would still love to get my hands on one of these someday.

I agree with the smiles per gallon thing. Luckily (or unluckily depending on your view point) I walk to work so dont put mileage on my car but on the occasions when I do take it out it does make me smile when I put my foot down. People can't understand why I still have it as well as the family car but when you do need to drive somewhere you want to enjoy it. For reference I have an Audi S3 specced up to 360bhp/370lbft

Drove a last gen RS5 (with that delicious V8) last week for the first time. I imagine it has a lot of the RS6's characteristics and it was brilliant. The gearbox is awesome and the four wheel drive gives you so much confidence straight away. Interestingly, the brakes were probably the weakest part (although I did drive it on track where that is probably a bit more obvious than on the road). Happy to see the RS6 back on the channel !

Of all the animals in the JWW barn the RS6 is my favourite for all of the reasons in this video. My own dream car for a long time was the Audi Allroad A6 3.0 diesel but the RS6 just adds comparative insanity back to that platform with the lovely engine. If you ever need a support car for a road trip I'd gladly drive your RS6 along sir.

The problem with having one car for daily/weekend drives is that you put on way too many miles... That's why I think it makes more sense to have a cheaper all round daily and then a dedicated sports car for the weekend/nice days.

We looked at one of these as a daily driver and I found it just a little bit too much, a bit shouty, a bit too harsh, it felt like it wanted to drag race everywhere and the sheer size of the wheels compromised the ride just a little too much. We then tried an S6 C7 Avant and it was perfect. Same engine as the RS6 (but detuned) with a twin clutch gearbox but less shouty, more comfy but still able to outdrag most cars (it also has launch control if you're that way inclined). It also has the benefit of being an absolute Q car (if like me that's what does it for you) if you spec it right and remove all the badges and don't have 20" or 21" rims. The RS6 is a dragster and is awesome, but the S6 Avant does everything a little bit better as a daily with 90% of the performance of it's big brother. Oh and it's about £30K to £40K less depending on your spec. I just can't grasp why Audi sell so few of them in the UK. So if you fancy doing an RS6 vs S6 back to back video just shout. It would be interesting to see how different they really are.

Yes, it literally is. This Audi, the RS6 ( and the Versions that came before the current one ) has been my absolute *Dreamcar* for about 2 Decades. If i ever have the Money ( that would mean winning in the Lottery ), THIS would be the one Car to buy for me. Practicallity, Space, Comfort, Quattro, amazing ( thunderous ) Sound, *huge* Amount of Power. Quality overall, inside and out. Yes, it drinks alot, but if you have the Money for such a Car, you probably don`t care about Fuel. Yes, this Monster of a Station Wagon for me is the very Definition of *Smiles per Gallon* !
