Audi S1; 505bhp! Faster than Lamborghini Huracan and 991 Porsche Turbo!

Got a phone call an hour before owner came down and only had the car for 20-25 minutes but managed to grab the opportunity and make a video. With a power to weight ratio of a car literally 5 times the price all in for this s1, why the hell not!
Absolutely, without a doubt, the fastest car that we have made a video about.

power to weight.but theres alot more...power goes to 2 skinny tyres vs 4 fat tyres..then there is rpm..diesel turbo that revs to 5500 vs petrol engine with race fuel that revs to 9500..huge differences..1200bhp huracan will smoke a 1500bhp gtr all day

Ibrahim all comes down to how much cash you have. The newer car is better, comfier, faster, but at stage 2+ levels on the 8p you in a good place. Bare in mind on an mqb(8v/mk7) you can see the same results as an stage 2+ 8p/mk5/mk6 with just a stage 1. Therefore less money, cleaner, more fuel efficient. I’ll make a video fam

Its not rude at all...the purpose of the channel at this point is to have fun and share the information. Your best speaking to Ecotune or Awesome GTI. THIS build is extensive as the owner goes all over Europe on different events. Would you need the coilovers? The custom exhaust? Hybrid turbo and built engine? roll cage? Short shifter? Poly Bushes? Don't know, but for me I wouldnt need half the list although its pretty cool. Doubt you'd see much change out of 10-15k though.Maybe even 20-25 depending on components.

henri brad they’re a good car, but for less than half the price (at the time could get a polo gti for £110 a month, 8,000 miles and 4p/mile excess) with all like for like spec. I like Audi but I like my money more 😂

S1, 500bhp 1300kg vs huracan, 600bhp 1400kg. Huracan should be quicker but should be interesting. As for a 997 Turbo (non s) 470bhp 1600kg won’t be enough for for this, just too heavy compared to the s1.

This is the same reason I take my car from Glasgow down to JBS in Chesterfield, they do a cracking job and dont scrimp on the power without damaging your car same as Ecotune up here.

The answer is simple. Someone clearly has very little knowledge of what Ecotune are about. I have had the the pleasure of driving a car mapped by your precious ‘JBS’ and I can assure you it’s nothing to right home about. I would choose ecotune everyday of the week, twice on Sundays and three times on a bank holiday. I recommend you go and do your homework properly before criticising a respected tuner #JustSaying

X1AOU it’s the facelift mate. £1200 gets me an intercooler and map with 520ish bhp. I bet it transforms the car, just the warranty that’s stopped me doing it so far

X1AOU cheers mate. Loving your R. The nardo looks so good on it. Yeah that’s the issue, my mate works for Audi and said it flags up on their system and a new engine is like £20k! I know ABT and MTM do warranty ones for 2 years but they aren’t cheap. I’m based in Manchester/Chester ways mate. Think I’ll wait till it’s in its final year, I do have an R8 at the moment too so I think it’s when I come out of that I think the RS3 could do with more power ha, it could definitely handle it!!

Jamie Pav such fantastic cars, both of them. I’d arguably say super charge the r8! Now that would be a car!! Slightly more than 2k all in though. Still, cheaper than a new rs3 engine! If you tuned the rs3 the r8 would feel flat lol. I remember driving an r8 when I had my 6r stage 2+ and feeling underwhelmed. 2 different animals though and requires very different driving styles. Your in a good place though. Maybe speak to Awesome, they’re really good guys down there.

Stock rs7’s are quick but you gotta remember it’s is a 2 Ton boat with 600bhp where as an s1 might be lower on power but makes up for it by being over 700kg lighter.

Misunderstanding. I'm getting at the fact a hurracan and turbo will both do 200mph plus whereas this s1 won't so it's not faster. Might out accelerate for a while but it won't be fastest.

Daniel Wright 100% agree, not really going to get the opportunity to go past 145mph on track though. Certainly not on the public highway. Everyday driving it’s the 30-80mph band where this car makes you hairs stand up. That’s where it’s going to out pace the named cars..

Abdullah Al-Munim Abdullah Al-Munim yeah I guess....but you found out that there is an s1 in the uk that has built engine done by Ecotune and tuned by Ecotune (custom map) that has a lot of time spent on it and money meticulously modified to the how the owner wanted. You also got a reaction and an understanding of the short shifter from someone who is used to driving 500bhp cars. Something that’s actually not been done before on KZbin for a road going car.
