When I took delivery of my 2004 Audi TT I had exactly the same coolant leak. I replaced the sensor and the thermostat as well. Then the relay switch but the main fan does not come on. PS: it’s recommended to replace plastic parts - housing and flange , with metal ones. They are well made and not expensive

Ths fans should always be on together, if ones not running its time for new one

Thats an intersting tool for those hoses. Ive had a a 225 for 15 years or so, my advice is that you should switch to aluminum coolant flanges because your absolutely going to have to replace the plastic ones again

I bought one of these recently a 225bam its been mapped 270hp paid 1400 quid for it just had a slight leak from the diverter ( forge dumpvalv3) and that was about it. Bought it as a cheap run around for work so didn't have to worry about leaving it in car park allday. Actually really like the car now haha. Theyve aged well and in thr uk it's pretty quick for the backroads

I need a new temp sensor and I'm starting think maybe I should look at the thermostat. I'm not losing g any coolant though

Question? What is that pleasure tank assembly you have called? You used it at the end for adding the coolant into the system? How does it work?

For the life of me can not find the plastic coolant outlet that you removed. Everything I try on automotive websites takes me to something shaped slightly Different

Was it losing a lot of coolant this way? Would you notice from the coolant tank or is it more of a drip drip
@AnthonysResurrectionGarage3 жыл бұрын
It was leaking a lot. I think I showed in the video how bad the leak was.

on these motors , when one plastic coolant pipe cracks , you replace them all.

I was charged a fortune to sort out an overheating problem on my 2002 TT BAM 225. Turned out to be a non running after run on secondary water pump. 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭😔🙄

Damn rats at it again. Great edits. So instead of buying an O ring someone decided to use silicone? Or was the housing warped?
@AnthonysResurrectionGarage3 жыл бұрын
🤣 yep them darn Rats! Thank you. It looks like thats what happened. The housing broke around the o-ring causing it to to leak.
