TT Finally Fixed | Coolant System Transformation!

Woohoo! After over 2 weeks of not being able to drive the TT, we are finally able to find and fix the problems which caused the overheating! HUGE thanks to everyone who helped me in the comments and offered their suggestions. I really appreciate all the support and feedback you have all given me!

A stuck open tstat in it will throw a code for engine not getting up to temp. Had this problem

@@HunterDirection how about a V6 TT turbo conversion? Ppl here in Germany go crazy with them, often even making more than 1000hp...

@@iasonstv5907 that would be insane! I could just follow my current goal of throwing the bigger turbo on the 1.8 and instead of sourcing another 1.8 to build I could source a 3.2 and build that outside the car. Fantastic idea!

Nice, won't have to worry about the cooling system for a long time now. Only thing I'd worry about is that without water flow, true coolant temperature could not be read, since the hot water was not flowing over the sensor. True water temp would have been way higher than showed on the dash. Either way won't be a problem with the new engine now.

Yeah I agree. Redoing all the coolant system provides a tremendous peace of mind. I'm glad I went that route. That's a Great point about the sensor! I'll be sure to keep an eye on it. Thanks for the support!

Well that turned into quite the adventure. From checking if the fan works to installing a new timing belt, coolant hoses, thermostat and pump. You did learn a lot lol.

Great video like always. I change everything in the coolant system except the water pump and radiator. I would have really like to see the installation of the water pump 🍷
