Great DIY video, changing my brakes is something I always wanted to do but not the confidence to try but it is on my to do list. Luckily they are ok for now but can get the tools to prepare...Thank you Andy...awesome tutorial video 👍😃

Thank you very much Peter! I have been neglecting my “how to” videos recently so thought I would do one on 3.2!

I changed my front pads on my 225 on Friday, but used brake grease instead of copper grease. Read somewhere that it can seize slider pins. Always use the cooper myself in past.

Thanks for your comment. I was shown how to do it by my father in law who has been changing the brakes on his various cars for over 40 years and he swears by copper grease. Totally agree though that a lot say not to use it. Seems to work out for me and you! 😉

Thanks for the video Andy I did my pads today , your not wrong about getting that calliper off , I had the same on my mot , break pads low . I had to use a crowbar to get the drivers side off it was seized on , I’m like you hardly do any miles. Next is the bloody under tray to do a oil change

Nice one Phil! There’s a video on the channel on removing that. Best to support the weight of it with a Jack because it’s heavy and it takes the load of the bolts. The 2 big spline bolts are not something everyone has in the toolbox so check you have one big enough! 👍

Great video, I'm going to have a go at this myself. Just need the right tools. In the US people are obsessed about changing rotors too, do you have a video on this also? We need you stateside!

Great video, 1st one I found on the dual piston front brakes. Just one comment is copper grease can cause the rubber boots to deteriorate. it’s better to use a red rubber safe grease. I use millers red rubber grease for this purpose and ceratec on the back of pads

Don’t forget to check the brake pistons for corrosion . They may need to be changed to prevent the pistons for sticking on . I’ve a video if you need it. Great video Andy and copper grease is amazing stuff ! I use it always

I did take a sneaky peak as the drivers side was a little sticky. After I freed it up it slid like a dream! I think where they had worn down so far, the piston was not used to retracting that far!

Hi Andy, I notice from your video that you state that the front discs are the larger 334mm (not 312mm as on the 1.8T). There seems to be two sizes of rear discs offered for sale too (232mm or 256mm) - do you know which ones are fitted to the 3.2? I am thinking that they are the 256mm. Have you made a video or replacing the rear brake pads on the 3.2?

@@steveh1226 hi Steven and thank for your message. I think I filmed the rear brakes replacement but I have not edited it down! So good spot! I will see if I can find the details of the ones i fitted! 👍
