A very informative video for the ones who don’t know . Be careful when you use wire wool that it’s not to course because of the scratch potential on the outside anyway.. l like white diamond metal polish personally it gives an excellent finish and adds protection Great video and the reference to cleaning 6” up the pipe 😄😄

Hi Andrew, great video even though I don't have exhaust tips to polish! I'm new to this channel and car detailing. Have you done a beginners guide to the steps involved in detailing and if not could you? If so can you send me the link. Many thanks

Hiya buddy and thanks for watching. We did do a few beginners video years ago but I think we can do better. We are planning to do a mini series so I will ensure it happens as soon as possible. Thanks for the sub and taking the time to watch our video. Cheers.

Thanks for watching. Labocosmetica is a very strong brand across all their products. If you can get them, definitely give them a try. Cheers.

I used AM Details metal polish on the trucks exhaust side panel. It wasn't see your face in it but there was a huge difference that it was noticed by work. Possibly with some wire wool or a machine it would have come up gleaming but I only had limited time and just some old M/f cloths. Great video and definitely those 2 products are something to keep in mind.

Cheers Paul as always. The hardest part of this video was getting the correct camera angle but I think I did OK. All the best.

Really enjoyed that mate 😍😍. I've actually got a really potent carbon cleaning product I buy at work for cleaning inside of carbonised engines etc and it's bloody awesome for exhaust tips. I will bring some when I see you 👌👌

Cheers buddy. Yes bring it along at next meet.

Thanks for sharing Andrew, definitely going to give the Cronos a go for the insides, I haven't used a bad Labocosmetica product yet! For polishing I like Britemax with the 0000 wire wool, works well, but to be fair I think all or most "metal" polishes will do well on chrome tips.

Cheers for watching. I totally agree with Labo being an excellent brand. Thanks for leaving a comment.

I've got a BMW 7 Series and the inside of the exhaust surround is quite bad and using just metal polish has got rid of the worst of the carbon. I'll look to try your technique. Thanks for another great video.

@@thecarboutique2467 What would be useful to explore is when do you replace a ceramic coating? If you apply a 3 year Gyeon Pure coating with a 1 year topper of Can Coat, plus 2 subsequent years add another topper of Can Coat. After the 3 years should you then apply Pure again and if so what is the best method of doing that i.e. do you machine polish and then apply the new coating? I'm not sure if ever seen this discussed before on video.

Cracking video and really informative. Cleaning exhaust is something I’ve not done myself yet but seeing how well those chemicals worked and how easy it looks, I’ll definitely be giving it a go 😁

Really enjoyable video addressing an issue we do not see many address. What brush did you use to clean the inside of the exhaust before you treated it?
@thecarboutique246710 ай бұрын
The brush I used in this video is the Vikan Large Wheel Brush 425mm. For exhaust cleaning I would recommend the Vikan Wheel Cleaner 325mm version. Both are available from ECA Cleaning Ltd.

Can’t believe they’ve stopped making the TT. 🥹. 😊

I know. When I was young I dreamed of having 1. When I was lucky enough to buy mine it was a special day. I've had mine 7 years and I still get a buzz everytime I get into it. That is rare in a car. Thanks for watching the video.

@@thecarboutique2467 I have a GTI that I’m planning on giving my son next year. My plan was to finally buy myself a TT. Then they cancelled it 🥹 It was always my dream car. I’ll still look for a low mileage used one. It’s between a TT and the new Volvo CX 30 ev. Just have to wait to see what the Volvo’s like. In America we only get giant EVs. So the Volvo being small looks good so far. Anyway, the interior of the TT is a work of art. You’re very lucky. How has it been for you mechanically?
