Audi TT Mk1 8N - What tools are in the boot toolkit?

What tools are in the bootToolkit of an Audi TT is a question I get asked a lot.
People seem to have a different set of items. Somr have been lost and some may not have been included.
In fact, the toolset is different in different style cars. So Here I cover:
What tools are included with an Audi TT Mk1 3.2 v6 and Quattro Sport
and:
What tools are included with an Audi TT Mk1 150, 180 and 225.
In the 150, 180 and 225, both Roadster and Coupe the toolkit is found in the boot or trunk and inside the spare wheel well.
In the 3.2 V6 and Quattro Sport there is no spare wheel so the tools are held is a recess under the boot floor.

Thanks , this has been very informative, though it hasn't changed my mind. When I first got my 3.2, I opened up the back to see that all the kit was there and said 'cool, no way I'm ever using that'. Went straight out and bought a can of fix -flat.

Hey Andy, thanks for the video. My 225 Roadster was missing the plastic tweezers, which I discovered when I was going to remove the wheels to do some work behind them. I have the 5-spoke sport wheels with the bolts exposed, and Audi’s solution to covering up the unsightly lug bolt heads was to place plastic covers over them to match the wheel color. It turns out those plastic tweezers are pretty much the only way to remove those plastic covers without destroying them! Fortunately it is an inexpensive part to order from Audi since it is used on a lot of their vehicles.

So on some cars those tweezers are essential! I use a bit of gaffer tape and a screwdriver handle to stick to the ends and extract them from my ronals! Thanks for watching!

@@andycharger I had to go look at my tool layout after watching your video to confirm, but my layout is completely different than either of yours. There is nothing in the center of the spare since the rim is too high; the foam for the tools is around the edge, and there is a plastic tool kit for the lug wrench and jack with the emergency triangle that clips to the place the triangle is strapped in yours. Is your roadster not a Quattro? It seems there is more space than in my trunk/boot.

Very interesting video Andy, that audi fluid in the 3.2 not only destroys the tyre but also the compressor judging from mine. its all been replaced now! I too have a modern version to sort out a flat....much better choice.

On the roadster, the 1st Aid kits sits behind the passenger seat in the compartment I believe. It has a cross on the door. It may have been moved to the boot for safe keeping/easier access.
