Vauxhall driver went through a red light, in the wrong lane and proceeded to cut up another driver. The Audi driver had right of way. The Vauxhall driver then tried to overtake on road markings that say you can't and over a right hand turn for traffic of the opposite direction. Clear traffic violations and my opinion the Vauxhall driver shouldn't be on the road.

I know this road, it leads up to Colne and if you don't know it its very easy to get stuck in that outside lane and people generally there won't let you back in. As much as the insignia was in the wrong, its clear the Audi closed the gap on purpose. A few cooler heads would have prevented all that agro.

I did read in the local paper that the junction is going to be changed so people can't switch lanes at the top as this kind of thing is a common problem. While people not merging in turn or letting people change lanes is a problem I suspect the Insignia driver here was deliberately trying to shove past everyone as he was gunning it through the lights to get ahead of as many cars as possible rather than calmly trying to move over politely. He could have slowed, indicated and moved into the fairly large space in front of the driver filming but he just had to get past one more car.

Actually I believe if you are in the wrong lane at that point, instead of going through a red light and trying to force your way back in. joshua heywood The Insignia went through a red light so don't try to blame the Audi driver for closing the gap, the inginia should have waited at the red lights and then indicated right and move off to the left when safe to to so, you can of course do a light blip on the horn to the car to the side of him and ask him to wind their window down and ask if he can go in front of the driver, usually they say ok and would have stopped all this from happening.

I drive a Vauxhall Mokka and I have to say, Insignia drivers tend to be complete knobs! I think its because its used as a company car quite often and simply these wannabes think they're god's gift to the world. I'm scared by the amount of people who think the orange car is at more fault than the silver one. I really hope you don't drive in this country. The silver one went through a right only turning that was on a red light to overtake a car who was in the correct lane to go straight on that was on a green light. Orange should have definitely let the crazy nutter go past them and not fought for the place but its 100% the silver cars mistake. I can totally see why the TT driver got the red mist here - the driver of the Vauxhall was totally in the wrong here. The right thing to do would have been to slow right down, indicate left and wait (humbly) for another driver to let them in. Instead, they continued at the same speed, closing in on the Audi, and expecting it to give way - all the time putting their car into the path of oncoming traffic. At the end of the day, traffic police and insurance companies will look at who was in the right place, and who wasn't.

The Vauxhall is clearly in the wrong lane, either by mistake or with the intention of jumping the queue of traffic, however, the Audi driver is the aggressor on this occasion as he purposely accelerates to stop the Vauxhall driver from getting in front almost causing a collison.

The vauxhall ran a red light in the wrong lane which is more serious but the orange guy was vindictive in speeding up to prevent the vauxhall from safely moving into the correct lane. That was dangerous as well. But to add I do have some sympathy for the orange guy but it's better to have took a deep breath and let the vauxhall through for safety in general.

bad road design; allow for that. turn signal notice on the pavement is at the last minute. I'm a driver and unless I know the area you need to know the arrow on the pavement way, way ahead of time. Both drivers are asshats for their behavior after the fact. I doesn't matter "who's in the right" if you're dead or run over someone on the sidewalk.

I see why everyone has a different view on this... For the most part the Insignia driver is 100% a douchebag driver. They are clearly in the wrong lane in the first place, if he/she knew they wanted to go straight then the least they could have done is indicate left and wait for someone to let them in. The TT driver was clearly pissed off with the douchebag move (I would be too). However, the TT driver speed up in retaliation. Both drivers are showing road rage. As a driver of 7 years, I've seen my fair share of people like the Insignia driver. Let the douche in and keep your distance. karma will catch them... Example, a very impatiant guy driving behind me once beeped angrily at me for beckoning on a bus to entry our lane, he then tried to over take both of us. The on coming car was a police car. Karma.

However, I do think that the reality of the situation, for some, will be that anyone who cuts you off or tries to ram your car of the road, will likely enrage you. Personally had I been the person speaking during this video I would of done the following: Call the police immediately and report it and secondly, call the driver of the Audi TT (like this person seemed to do towards the end of the footage) and tell (or ask) him to back off and let the Vauxhall Insignia pass. Although it isn't the Audi TT drivers responsibility for the young child in the Vauxhall Insignia it was still irresponsible of him to continue the road rage knowing there was a young child in the car. The police take matters like this extremely seriously and they would of been there in a matter of minutes especially given the fact he was endangering the life of a minor. Like I said, just my opinion.

As much as the Insignia maybe in the wrong lane, I lose respect to the Audi driver for then speeding up at the beginning to not let him in, thus potentially causing more trouble and a possible collision rather than just letting the driver get into the space and leaving it at that, especially as the driver, (with the cam), claimed there was a child on someones knee, that argument becomes irrelevent if both drivers are just going to be irresponsible. It's the retaliation that people seem to want to give that causes so many more issues in these situations. Both drivers here are in the wrong for their actions.

Having watched it a few times, I totally "get" why Mr Audi was peed off, BUT.... He could have been the bigger man if he had let the chavtastic Vx driver through. What you SHOULD have done was call the cops and inform them of the situation and the fact that the Vx contained an unrestrained child. They LOVE that sort of stuff. Mr Vx would have felt the weight of the law on his head like a tonne of bricks. The Vx driver didn't go through a red light, that was a right filter, but he did change lanes in a fashion likely to create an incident leading to a crash.
