Runner flaps fitted within the inlet manifold on Audi and VW 2.0 TFSI vehicles restrict airflow limiting performance. Our kit allows you to completely remove this system, vastly improving airflow; allowing better tuning and preventing failure of the runner flap components.
The Problem
The runner flaps within the inlet manifold limit airflow and performance.
The factory fitted inlet manifolds on EA113 engines have runner flaps fitted within. Much like throttle body flaps these open and close to adjust airflow. These ultimately restrict airflow, even when fully open airflow is restricted. This becomes an issue the more the vehicle is tuned. Carbon can also build up on these moving parts providing more restriction and can in some cases cause failure of the moving parts within the manifold.
Symptoms of the fault
If the runner flaps are operating correctly there will likely be no symptoms of a fault. The benefits will only be realised when the runners are removed; improving airflow. If the runners are faulty or carbon build ups have formed this can affect vehicle performance.

Remove the runner flaps using our kit to improve airflow in the inlet manifold.
Remove the runner flaps completely from the manifold using our kit. Our precision engineered CNC billet aluminium parts allow you to remove the runner flaps. Our parts replace the runner bearing blocks and the crank arm; sealing the manifold and vastly improving airflow. Ideal for stock vehicles to improve airflow and prevent carbon build up- even better for tuned engines. Customers with tuned engines have noted quicker throttle response, less turbo lag, improved torque and BHP gains when deleting the runner flaps.

The flaps are for cold start warm up assistance then once at operation temp, they rotate out of the way. The flaps in the manifold in the folded position DO NOT affect airflow or hinder performance, until you got BIG turbo and maybe meth injection. For stock application, or stages 1-2+ the flappers dont bother a thing. As a certified VW tech, I promise you this is a waste of time and $$$. If you happen to have DTC P2015 for intake runner position, simply remove and replace your entire intake manifold with new updated part and while the manifold is off, reseal your injectors and more importantly, perform a carbon clean service and clean the carbon off the back sides of your intake valves. That will drastically improve low end throttle response a thousand more times than flapper delete.

Hi Tniedrich. Firstly, forgive me for my english, it's not so good. I think the same thing. I had the error DTC P2015 and I replaced entire intake manifold. I have a Audi S3 stage 3, my turbocharger system it's a APR EFR7163 kit. It's a big turbo. In your opinion, it's good idea the flapper delete in my case?

To save money on an audi that isn't worth much, is the 2015 usually the position sensor going bad?

Sounds like something a stealership employee would say I have a 2008 Jetta FSi it’s worth 2 grand and a shitbox with 120,000 miles I’m not buying a manifold for a car that’s not worth fixing but this design is useless therefore I’m simply going to zip tie the flaps to constantly open How about you come fix all the shitboxes for free before suggesting a expensive repair

And yes i got a p2015 code and this shouldn’t be a common issue but it is , not a performance gain but it’s a reliability gain

Have done this mod absolutely great Power low end rolling is quick with a gentle acceleration but overall I feel stick with stock What you not told is your plugs will have to be gapped to accommodate the larger air flow your map sensor needs to be upgraded to a 4bar map sensor. You need to also get someone to do a runner flap delete plug in using vcds so your check engine light /P2015 is gone. The morning start up is terrible but smooths out within a minute your fuel air ratio too needs to be calabrated and new cold start switch to allow extra fueling on cold start lots to do with this mod.

i have just purchased this kit on ebay. do you put the swirl moter back on and plug it so that the ECU thinks its there ?

Yes that is correct or you can have it mapped out.

X8R Ltd thank you for the quick reply . If it's connected the ECu will think it's there and not flag codes. As since the codes are popping up that means it's not been mapped out . So I will have it plugged in

What's the price on these? Do you ship international? What part of the coding would I go to remove the error signal when removing the flaps? We've already done a Stage2 to our projec car. Is there anything I should know before acquiring this product?

So if you still leave motor and plug it in why not just cut out the flaps leave the rod and have no flaps no codes and not pay anything?

@@jasonouderkirk5142 I did it just too see so it's been 2 months now and no codes nothing first month broke fins left rod. Now I have the rod holes plugged fully and nothing in it still runs great not a single code. Hate parts like this

hello the flaps that are in the cylinder head of the engine are also removed or should they be left installed?

They should also be removed. That's the part that actually fails when using methanol injection or too much nitrous oxide. The cold temperatures, make the fixed metal divider brittle, then it breaks.

@@knduong Yes, do the runner flap delete if you are going to be doing heavy amounts of methanol injection. If you are going to be doing it only for a few seconds at a time, then I'd recommend it. If you are using the Sno Performance, kit at the smallest nozzle, then you wouldn't need to do the delete.

Hi i have codes at tge moment, (P200400: Intake Manifold Runner Control Bank 1 Stuck Open) so if i remove the flaps it will sort my problem? Also would this have a knock on effect with fuel and air mixture issues and fuel consumption?
